ideas for barrier in courtyard

Hello! Would love some recommendations to make this wall secure and obscure my neighbor’s messy yard. The other side of the wall is a steep hill and my toddler is getting too curious. Photos of courtyard area so you can see style of space.

Add a horizontal slat wood fence on top of the wall to your desired height.

Florida is big into lanai covers. Building a fence inside your wall could happen. It's about cost. What's your budget?
