Bathroom Vanity Advice

Hi! I am looking for advice on a primary bathroom vanity. I have approximately 90" of wall space. The vanity will abut the glass wall of a steam shower (basically hiding the bench in the shower). I am concerned about storage as this house has very little but that is not the driver for the aesthetics of the bathroom. I have the following questions but of course would take any and all advice / ideas!

1. Should the vanity be that big? Would a floating vanity make it feel less massive? The contract marked out standard box sizes but not committed to that as I would prefer two drawer banks (with internal drawers in the top ones) to create a linear line across all boxes)

2.Thoughts on putting in a large sink with two faucets vs the traditional two sink vanity? It is on an outside wall so the faucets do need to come up through the cabinet.

3. Should the vanity abut the steam shower or should I go for a smaller vanity say 72" and use that 18" for a heated towel rack, linen storage or something else.? Seems like it could be just a clutter spot....

I have picked a stone from Porcelanosa (Dorcia Bone Line 23x57 - wall /

Dorcia Bone C - 23x47 - floor) for the floor and the shower. There will be a free standing white tub on the right when you enter the bathroom.

Trough sinks are fun to look at but honestly do you want some one spitting into the sink while you are trying to wash your hands . I would do 2 sinks for sure . As for size of vanity if 2 sinks are the plan then I would do the whole wall with a floating vanity to look nicer .I would do a 36" cabinet on either side withan 18" one in the middle all drawers even where the plumbing is and great drawer organizers

Where is the 2 dimensional layout of the entire bath with all the pieces, walls,,,, and dimensions for everything?

How much "sharing" occurs with the users of the bath? If storage is an issue, a dingle sink will certainly afford more than a traditional 2. A 90" inch vanity is not HUGE.......

Storage is very much a driver of aesthetics. When the glow of new wears off? You won''t remember the hand wring of what size vanity, how many sinks. The grooming CLUTTER atop the vanity will tell the story.

If storage is your concern use the entire 90” for a vanity. All drawers. Wall hung makes a bathroom appear larger. Two sinks.

This is my vanity with a few more inches of space. We have a full linen closet outside of the bathroom and two 24x48 recessed medicine cabinet, which store a lot of everyday toiletries on the lower shelves and some extras in the higher shelves (that I need a small step-stool to reach).

With not enough storage I would definitely go with one sink and do one cabinet stack with 4-drawers instead of the standard 3 drawers.

Definitely look at adding medicine cabinets. preferably recessed, but even surface mounted will work.

: ) I always recess the toe kick , set back to be INVISIBLE nine - 12 inches. In case a lipstick or eye pencil should find its fate way back there? The only one who'd ever know it was there would be someone on their hands and knees.....cleaning the floor......and probably thankful a dust bunny chase is easier too.

Before we redid our master bathroom, I took stock of everything I needed to store, and built the vanity cabinets accordingly. I have quite small/narrow drawers in the vanity, and find them very useful since almost everything we need stored is small-makeup, grooming needs, etc. You may not agree, but you should think about it. We also have recessed medicine cabinets that hold a lot, just like chispa's.

I would go wall to wall with the vanity, and agree with Patricia that 2-36" vanities and a 18" cabinet in the center would be better than what you have shown.

I also agree with Jan about toe kicks--you definitely need them.
