Sorry...I updated my post. We are in MO near KC. Just searching for options. I don't get on HOUZZ much any more but did appreciate the help when I was building our house a few years back. Yes, I did use google search and also requesting the door service through Stanley. Just thought if anyone had experience with some local companies that would be good to know. The one we've been working with is charging us quite a bit and want to come look at the door (even tho' they serviced it for the same issues in the past 6 months) and then want to charge us again to come fix it. Seems ridiculous. Also they want payment before they do the work. I could see requiring partial payment but we did pay them quite a bit within past 6 months and it's still not working. Hi. I know nothing about automatic doors, but I work in automation. If the doors open or close on their own it's likely to be a faulty or dirty sensor that's triggering the door operation. At the top of the door there will be something that looks like a lens or a rounded red or translucent plastic. That thing houses an infrared sensor that detects people in front of the door. If it is dirty, or misaligned, or if some heat or light source sporadically aims at that sensor, it could trigger the sensor and make the logic board think somebody is present.
