Saw this design solution and thought it was a clever way of addressing the skinny windows and lighting in a basement.

This solution is created by adding framing around windows often located at the top of the foundation wall in basement.

Frame the window to receive an LED panel the same width as the window.

Once installed the LED panel can be adjusted to duplicate the color of the light coming from the window. Add some adjustable shutters to camouflage the light panel, add drapery panels to finish the simulation.
