I wouldn’t change wall but I would add white sheets or linen coloured and a throw that is either light or has more colour. I would also add a plant somewhere.

I don't think you need to do anything to the wall either. I would spend the money on different drapes. The ones you have are hanging too low and need to be at least twice as wide for more fullness. Also the grommet tops are too casual a style.

Seems like a waste to do batten wall when most of the wall is covered up by stuff.

Don't fall for Instagram trends that don't belong in your actual space.

The nightstand color doesn't really look good with the bed/headboard color.

If adding, make it simple as there is a lot going on and suggest going very light or even paint the wall color.

If wanting color just paint (suggest blue to comp art) but whatever you decide on doing, suggest rethinking the bedding so its lighter/layered and more inviting. It will have more impact in the room than anything else. Drapery adjustments would be a good idea as well and note rod‘s length/height, drapery‘s width/length/color below (try Amazon, Ikea and HomeSense).

If it were me, I’d put the budget and effort on these two improvements and leave the wall alone.

IMO your artwork is mounted too high over the nightstands.

You might want to add a few pillows.

”Pro” tip: It is not the best idea to put your bedroom on display on the internet. It is one of the most private spaces in your home. And unfortunately, although many unsuspecting members of the public who post here assume that this is a “design” board where they can actually receive quality design/decor help- this is rarely the case. What you ”will” get is a gazillion (mostly personal) opinions from random strangers on the internet- which you then have to sort through. And many people think the advice here is ”free”. It isn’t. It often ends up costing them much more in money and everything else, including their sanity. For example: You are already talking about replacing a headboard that does not need to be replaced. And no one here has really answered your question.

For a paint color for the bed accent wall and/or the board and batten - look at Selvedge- Farrow & Ball.

I put together a few visuals for you. These are just to show the general idea with board and batten- or alternatively, with just paint, on the bed accent wall. I included a chandelier (which I do not know if you have one already- or, if you would even want one. If you did want one, but don’t have wiring, there are also some nice swag plug-in chandeliers. Of course you would want everything dimmable.)

So again, just for the general idea- and I hope these are helpful. The color on the very first one is the closest to Farrow & Ball Selvedge. But most of the blues shown in these are in that range, and it also depends on the lighting, etc. So of course you would want to sample a few colors in your actual space.
