The ceiling looks very clean, what material did you use?

Looks to me like bead board (typically used for wainscot) was used to cover the roof rafters. Is that what was done here?

    Yes, it's the sheets of bead board that you can buy at Home Depot. Between the roof rafters and bead board is insulation.
