Where can I put TV in this room?

I only have one complete wall in my bedroom. The opposite side are all closet. How can I put TV on? One option is to move closet doors against two sides wall and enlarge the wall between closets. Of course, I'll need to remove the mirror too and then I can hang up a small TV on that wall... Any other suggestions? Thanks!!

Keep in mind that it won't look like the pic I photoshopped. Difference in light when the picture was taken and all that ;-)
Here is the height. I mark it in blue tape.

Here is the height. I mark it in blue tape.
Okay, so they'll be more like this
    I still like them.
Well, you can try them, if they look as good as carolins pics, then I'll like them too :)
Do you have any glass lamps in house already? Just to see what the look is like?
Nope, I don't have any at home yet. This one is non-returnable. It's taking risk:) 20 min to go before deal closes
  • 12 years ago
On, non returnable? I'm not going to jump on that then, if you love them, you will feel like you have to do it. Does that help at all :) the pics that carolins posted do look good. Bit they are only shopped, there's no guarantee :)
True, I'll keep this one in mind then. I can always find the same one from other resource. But, I do need to place an order ASAP.
carolins, do you mind photoshop the glass one I posted yesterday? It's about same height and probably that one is more classic? Thanks!!
This one? I left the other one in too, so you can see the difference
  • 12 years ago
How great you are, carolins! Thank you. Yes, I can see the difference. They all look good to me. Classic v.s Chic? What's your pick?
Hmmm, I think I like the width of the left one :)
    Agree with mforr :-)

Why is the bed tied to the wall? Why not look at putting your television on the wall where your headboard is now, and move your bed out about 3 or 4'. Put a smaller headboard in place with room on the sides for remote, etc. Put your existing pot lights on a remote and have dimmers installed. If you have room, put a bench at head end of bed to allow easy dressing; perhaps something like a Deacons Bench. Just something to think about.
I still like the one on the right. i think the one on the left is more modern than your other items, but I don't think either would look bad.
I know that I am late but did you buy the lamps yet. I would warn you against buying anything that is returnable. for anything that you find, search Amazon first because you usually carry a lot of things.
I like this lamp you found tracyctus and I like its 30" height. Yes, the lamp can be taller than the headboard. Most don't agree with me, but I think way too many bedside lamps are too small. Don't worry everyone, this is the only comment I'll make about lamp size, I promise:) I grabbed a couple Houzz pictures - one with lamps shorter than the headboard and one with lamps taller, so you could see if you prefer one look to the other.

I agree with you Ann. And a lot of it has to do with personal taste too :-)
Ann-I know better this will not be the only comment you make about lamps.
Yep, at least for this discussion:)

Hello everyone, happy holidays! It's another two weeks passed. I am making some progress for my entire place, but not that much for bedroom. The accent pillow we found in ZGallery website is actually orange instead of carol. So, I didn't purchase them yet. Besides, I bought a charcoal like drapes and will show pic later. Meanwhile, I made the purchase for guest bedroom and living room sofa. I'll start a separate trail on that. Thank you!

Happy Holidays to you too, Tracyctus!!!! See you soon. :D
  • 12 years ago
Thanks mforr!! You too. I just started a discussion for my living room. Feel free to stop by:)

I don't know if you have found a solution yet for TV but I would buy a TV stand and corner it between window and folder door-doesn't have to touch the wall, it will look nice and add comfortable chairs near bed. It won't matter where the bed is as you can move TV towards you slightly leaving TV stand in place.

    Happy holidays tracyctus :-)
Thank you momof5x, I already found the solution and bought a movable cart and plan to place it between entrance door and closet. I'll try placing it before the window as you suggested to compare. Thank you so much.

Very welcome! Yep, that's it hehe. I have the same but brown cabinet TV stand with wheels. When you have a TV trolley with wheels , you can move it anywhere :) Enjoy!

Merry Christmas everyone! mforr and carolins, I checked the swatches for that bedroom bench and they didn't get back to me yet. If I can't get it, which color should I pick? Grey or taupe? Need a bench badly in my bedroom, thank you! http://m.wayfair.com/products/FV41452~E8416
  • 12 years ago
Merry Christmas!! I'd go with taupe, too hard to match gray to walls. Taupes can blend with each other better. :)
Merry Christmas to all of you too! Ditto on the Taupe.
Thank you both, there are two kinds of taupe. How about this one? Thank you:)
I like that! Some dark tones to accent will work well.
I also vote for thermostat wall.
Thank you. I also use charcoal drapes. My room looks very neutral now and need to add some colors later. In terms of table lamp, I ordered that white shade glass one, however, the size is too big and I may have to return it... The shade almost takes 2/3 of the night stand...
Happy 2014 everyone. Hope you all had a great holiday. I haven't decided on the bench color yet and need your inputs. Thank you! Dark taupe v.s mashroom taupe
  • 12 years ago
Hi tracyctus, Happy New Year, good to see you back :)

I like the lighter, mushroom taupe. I think it's a better color, you will already have a deeper color with the charcoal in the room, so the lighter taupe is a better blend with everything else.
Thanks mforr, that make sense. One more piece is done.:) how about the area rug in front of the bench? Which size should I have?
Do you just want a smaller rug there or a larger rug that takes up the center of room, one that you will step onto when you get out of bed on either side and will also be under each seating area, or at least under part of the side one. ?
Forgot the measurements of room, can you give them to me again? And also the space from end of bed to the closet wall?
Have you picked a rug yet? I mean color and style, not size :)
mforr, sorry to be late. The area between bed end and closet is around 8 F and so does the entrance door to the window. I haven't decided on the style and color yet. I am currently in a vacation and won't have Internet access in next 7 days... But will be back. Thank you so much for your help. :)
Enjoy!! Talk to you soon, I'll be waiting, and looking for some great rugs :)
Thank you and will talk to you soon!:)
Hi mforr , carolins and everyone here, hope everything goes well with you. It's been for a while and I am back. :) The bench arrived in Jan and the mushroom taupe looks much darker than the picture shows....it's more lile dark brown like dark brown tone.
    So, it doesn't look right?
Did you keep or return them?
How do I balance this wall with armoire, 40" flat tv and the 2 doors?

The walls are BLACK! They look purple in this pic so don't be deceived.
