I have the same dilemma with the cooktop, get mixed reviews, they are made locally in california which is good but now hear they have "mixed" with another company, not sure

Dacor and Wolf have joined forces but I am going to buy the new 36" Dacor, 6 burner cooktop and the double wall ovens again. Both continue to be great names for serious cooks. My experience in my last two homes was absolutely the best. I have been in mourning for my kitchen as we await permit approval to get started in our last "forever home". The gas cooktop was as agile as the finest sports car in handling highs and lows. My convection ovens were baking champions. These three tools plus a Dacor convection microwave (still made by Sharp) allowed me to give many an elegant and accomplished dinner party--the largest was a sit-down dinner for 45 with a choice of three entrees. Anything is possible with passion and these tools. I am baffled by the negatives I see since my own experience was thirteen years in one home and nearly six years in another with nothing but trouble-free, exceptional performance. The ovens look like new after cleaning in the auto function--better than any I have seen. The only thing I will do in future is get the black enamel finish for the cooktop to avoid babying the stainless steel top again....although it is beautiful.
