We have gutted at 1970"s house and opened up the area for the kitchen /diningroom/ entertaining area. We are using a medium dark bamboo flooring and now I have my kitchen design but I am not sure whether to go dark stain, painted an off white or cream colour, a combination of both such as painted for the main cupboards and stain for the large 2 tiered island. If I go stained, do I go for a dark quartz countertop or lighten it up? We have lots of windows and light coming from the south and north. I am afraid I will choose the wrong thing and get sick of it and this big a kitchen is too big to replace again.
