We chose a light paint color throughout our new home, including the ceilings, as it is all or nothing with builders. I sought advice from a designer who recommended Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray throughout the entry (which doesn't get any natural light), our large, open living area and our kitchen and dining room. The painters just finished the entry, and the colors are whack! Between the recessed lighting, the light which comes in from the living room, and the shadows, it looks like each wall is painted a different color. Needless to say, my husband and I are extremely skeptical about continuing this paint color throughout the entirety of the major living areas in our house. I am wishing I had never even decided to paint!
