I'm converting a formal (i.e., unused) living room into a guest room. One of my first design issues is how to provide privacy since the French doors leading to the main hallway are clear glass. Directly opposite are identical doors leading to the dining room. I don't really like pocket-to-pocket curtains. The room is currently very "Grandma's formal parlor" looking, but I'm moving the house toward more contemporary design with a lot of Craftsman elements. Any suggestions?
