Declutter the space above your cabinets. Nothing should be up there. Hang your little artworks in columns or rows--quiet the zig-zaggy way they're hung now. Here's a quick sample pic of what I mean:

Also, center the table in the eating area and remove unnecessary clutter.

I will be replacing table in breakfast area with an espresso counter top table.

Do you mean that the table will be counter height? That's a very small space and I think the height will overpower it. Consider a more substantial, round, standard-height table instead. Then pick a fantastic, more sophisticated chandelier to go over it--mounted 36" above the tabletop. Good luck!

If you intend to replace the table and chairs; a set matching to your kitchen cabinets would suit your limited space available and would provide continuity.

Definitely think Anne Dee is on the right track....Keep table and chairs in wood relating to cabinetry, of a regular seat height, declutter tops of cabinets and use a soft sage green paint...the middle sample on your wall above switch plate...in keeping with Anne's photo...not too dark because your floors are light. Perhaps a couple of pendant lights above the island and relate a new dining light to those. Good luck!

I was advised to use glass tile for backsplash....what opinion of this? If yes to that.. What color wud u suggest

if you are considering glass splash you might consider a combination glass and stone
blending colours of beige cream brown grey and honey which pick up the colours of the
counter tops and the cabinets an the SW Moonstone.

I think your table and chairs would work.

May i make another suggestion re window covers.
natural roman shades would look nice in place of the metal? blinds.

I have white wood blinds in kitchen/bf...I do like idea of those type of shades

for the time being you could hold on to the bar stools and then re evaluate after you have made your changes.

Why not change to natural colour wood blinds in keeping with the cabinet colour.
It would add wamth.
