Hi everyone! What do you think? Do I add 2 or 3 mini pendants over the sink? The window space measures 54" inside. I'm having recessed lights put in the ceiling so the pendants are for task and esthetics mostly.

ALSO, suggestions on what kind are welcome - I guess I'm pretty traditional in my style - today anyway haha

1. Is that the sign from the TARDIS on your refrigerator? Awesome!
2. Honestly, you could easily go with one hung dead center above the sink to focus that task lighting right on the basins. 3 feels like it would be too many for this little nook. 2 is pushing it but might work.

You may want to look for something with translucent or transparent glass so as not to completely obstruct that nice view!

Ha. Yes! It's is the Dr Who sign from the Tardis. Big fans in my house. Working on getting the whole Tardis decal to cover the fridge - how awesome would that be?

I thought three would be much but DH thought 3 so Houzz to the rescue. I love seeded glass and have been trying to find a mini seeded glass with brushed nickel to match the faucet. I've searched hundreds of lights but nada.

What would be a complimentary finish if I can't find what I really want?

2 pendants if they are separate or you can use 1 fixture that has 3 shades on it too for that space.

Why don't you do something semi-flush so you don't obstruct your view? I would think pendants would annoy me a bit when I am washing dishes.

If you can't find what you really want for a finish in brushed nickel, related finishes include chrome, silver, steel and polished nickel. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.

The ceiling seems to be a bit low. I would use recessed lighting instead.

Hey , I have the same windows over my kitchen sink! I went with on pendant light. It hangs in the middle that way when washing dishes it is not "in my face" It is brushed chrome & looks like an inverted bowl.. so only a down light .. great because it does not shine in the eyes when at the sink.

I would consider putting two or three puck lights above the sink and cover them with a small valance - just a piece of wood trim. Very clean look. Nothing to obstruct the window.

a fixture would get across your vintage style more than recessed. i would like to see two flush or small pendants. like the idea of clear covers. two so you have free view in the middle. not a fan of valences, even the one there. its a psychological thing, stops your eye the depth of cabinet, 12". would feel bigger without it and could hang pendants without looking squatty. with low ceiling, not opposed to flush mount.

I would do a semi flush mount. I think pendents might block your view or be in the way. Here are some semi flush mount options.
