I think I would pick the Cebu leather for the floor and the Limestone beige for the shower. Plus you would have more contrast between the cabinetry and the floor. Even though the AZ tiles visualizer does not show the real color, you can see the overall look of the floor.

If it were not for the light cabinets I would probably put the Beige on the floor and Cebu in the shower because I think it draws the eye toward the shower and is more stunning. However, I agree with you. Because the cabinets will be light, I would probably put the Cebu on the floor.

Gene is wanting me to consider putting a glaze on the bathroom cabinets similar to what we did in the kitchen. He really likes the kitchen cabinets.

That might give the cabinets a contrast against the beige tile. ??

When you look at the floor on the AZ visualizer above, do you think the floor would be lighter or darker or the same in reality?
In this picture I used the default color of the vanity in the visualizer. When you shop for the cabinetry, bring the limestone tile as well as your granite. I am pretty sure you will be able to find a color that as enough contrast. A glaze might help too.
I agree the shower in the Cebu Leather stands out and it is more modern.

I was planning to have the cabinetry fabricated. So I won't be shopping for it. I will just be picking out paint or stain.

I prefer the beige tile next to my hardwood. The wood picks up the brown flecks in the beige.

Also, the Cebu comes in 12 x 24 and 2 x 2 only.

Beige comes in 12 x 24 and 13 x 13 only.

So, cebu 2 x 2 could border the floor of the shower.

For many reasons, the Beige would work better for your floor. I am sure we can make the cabinetery and the floor work together. We can look at Houzz to see some examples.

I would say that both tile are actually lighter in color than your visualizer shows. The cebu is quite a bit lighter.

I am not sure if this will tell you something but I play with photoshop and made the Beige tile lighter. I tried to make make the vanity darker but that was hard. Look at the side of the vanity where I put your granite on the bottom left side.
I am sure we can find better when we will look at Houzz but I just wanted to show this to you with a lighter floor.

The vanity does look a bit darker. And I like it.

Neither of those toilets look that great. I might need to go back and revisit the color selection on those! What color is the bath tub in that photo? It looks like a better match!

Kaye, I went on the Kolher website and search for a color of toilet and sink close to the color of the tub. I did not find any. I photoshop the closest ones I found. I also put white because white is classic and I think it is worth considering it.

I think the second one in your line up of toilets is the one I originally wanted. It was grayish and probably not that good with our current selection of tiles. The fourth one is probably a good match but does not lend itself to a future remodeling by new owners. And I think I might tire of it. The white one looks so stark! It doesn't blend at all with these colors. Therefore, the first one is probably the best choice. Is that a biscuit color? That biscuit or ivory color is flexible for future remodels and a softer look with my colors.

Actually, if I were you I would go and bring the tile and check the color in person. As you know, the colors on our screen can be very different than the real color.

I am not sure I understand the color of the toilet on the Kohler site. I was pretty sure, the toilet on the left was biscuit and the toilet on the right was almond. Maybe, I made a mistake. Today I check and the toilet below is in the almond color. I think is almost not noticeable but I believe it is darker than the biscuit color. This is one good reason to check the color in person. Of the 3 toilet posted, the two above plus the one below, I prefer the one below.

This toilet looked to me like the toilet on the left in the above picture. The one on the right looks a bit darker to me. But like you said, this is something I will have to check in person. I bet that Home Depot has a Kohler color chart..... and Lowe's. I will check that out soon.

Your Limestone beige tile looks whiter than the real tile. The base color is a pale creme.

The photoshop of 17 hours ago shows the Limestones tiles as it appears on the website. You said yesterday that the Limestones tile in real was lighter than the color on the website. So made the floor lighter on the photoshop of 13 hours ago.

When you look at your tile you have at home today, do you find the is more like the color on the photoshop of 17 hours ago or more like the color on the photshop of 13 hours ago?

I think if you go and check the color of the toilet in the store and you like it with the Limestones tile, I would probably pick the Limestones tile for the floor. If you don't find any color of you like, I might choose the Cebu tile for the floor too but I would put more of the mosaic tile to make the shower stand out more.

Another option, would be to use the Cebu tile for the floor and the Limestones tile for the shower.

Of the three options, my first pick would be Limestomes tile with the toilet in a color you like.

If you check the color chart for the toilet with both the Limestones tile and the Cebu tile at Home Depot or Lowes, make sure you stand in a good lighting.

I think I steered you astray on the Limestone beige color. It could be the different lighting conditions that makes it appear lighter and darker.

If you go back to the photos I took 19 hours ago, the Limestone Beige is fairly close to accurate. The Cebu seems darker in the photo than with the naked eye. (But then, this is the same eye that does not see green in the Baltic Brown granite!)

This Cebu is really growing on me. I like it better today than yesterday.

How much mosaic tile would you suggest using in the shower? They come in sheets of 30 sq cm. or 11 7/8" x 11 7/8". By my calculations that is probably 18 rows of squares.

In this photoshop, I put in foreground the photos you took yesterday. They are darker than the one one the web site. I also put 2 toilets, the one on the left is the almond color and the one on the right is the Dune color. I think your best bet is to bring the 2 tiles when you check the real color of the toilet. As you can see, the colors on the web site, the color taken from your camera is very different.

I don't really know how much mosaic tiles you need. It will depend on how much you want to accent your shower. I said in a previous comment that you might need more accent tiles if you go with all Cebu tiles on the floor and in the shower to make your shower stands out more but you might need less if your floor is in Limestones and the shower in Cebu.

If you want to go with the Limestone floor even if you don't find a toilet's color you like, then you might want to start looking at showers on Houzz to give you ideas on how to add accents to your shower. If there is a possibility that you may use all the Cebu tile on the floor and in the shower then at that time you will search on Houzz for showers with the floor covered with the same tiles and see how much accent they put on the showers you like.

That Cebu tile is very tricky to capture in photos. My outdoor photo on the white blanket was definitely too dark. The Cebu on the bathtub is too plum/orchid in color. That is not in the real tile. It is really much more in the tan line of color. It seems to me that outdoor lighting distorts more than helps. JMHO.

The Limestone beige under the toilets is fairly accurate. And it is a very flexible color and pattern...... goes with many other colors.

I think the almond color toilet will work well, but I will verify it in the store.

Between the 12x24 tile and the 2x2 mosaic available with the Cebu, you could achieve something not exactely the same but similar. This is only one example but we can check many others on Houzz.

That is good! I could actually use four 2 x 2" tile on the diagonal instead of the 4 x 4" in the picture. Do you thing that would look good? Too busy?

What do you think about the grout lines? I have been thinking minimal grout since the beginning of this project. But I have seen some instances in which grout lines were pivotal to the pattern.

I was thinking that minimal grout lines would make the large tiles look almost like a solid sheet of stone. Cebu has the look of stone.

But if I use smaller tiles for a pattern, how would that work? Would they also have minimal grout?

I don't think having the 2 x 2 tiles on diagonal would be too busy. However, I need to look at showers on Houzz to get a better feel of how it looks with different patterns. Same for the grout, I need to look on Houzz.

I would have the same grout width for all the tiles in the shower. I think it is ok if the grout width on the floor is different than in the shower but I am not 100% sure.

I posted a photoshop with all the materials you have selected using a photo you have taken in the store. Do you think this one is close to the reality?

Yes Suzanne, that is much closer to the actual tan color of the tile.

Have you considered using greige glass subway tiles? I have the same granite and it brings a modern flair into the picture.

I will chime in here with just a small suggestion. If you live in a colder clime, i.e., you have a winter, heat the floor. There are mats that are very easy to lay right under the flooring, we put in our new kitchen and wonder how we ever lived without it. Not very expensive for that space, a few hundred dollars, and the electrician can, or should, be able to wire in a half hour. These also give off radiant heat, so the bathroom is always nice and warm, and have timers so you can conserve at night. Any time we redo a floor, these babies are going in for sure! Will give you the source we used if you are interested. All DIY except for the hard wiring.

You are preaching to the choir, Bob. I am a big radiant heat fan. I have it in my RV and am putting it in this bath remodel, even though we live in Texas which is NOT a cold climate.

No one likes a cold floor no matter where, especially stumbling thru first thing in the morning. Glad you are a fan, think they are wonderful, and do cut down on the heat bill as well (Maine!) and pretty cheap to run. Good for you, glad you too have discovered their glory, and hope others see this and invest on a real cheap and easy fix. Worth every penny, and know you agree with that. Must be great in the RV, real good idea!

This is the photoshop with the Cebu leather floor and the Eternal Limestones Beige shower. I added the toto toilet in sedona beige and the memoirs toilets in almond and in biscuit colors. IMO, because your floor is now the Cebu Leather instead of the Limestones beige I think any of these 3 toilets would work. It is more a matter of which toilet's brand you prefer. If you prefer the Kohler Memoirs toilet, then between the 2, I would pick the almond (second toilet). I find that an almond sink might be a bit better on your granite than the biscuit because it is slightly toned down.

I used the visualizer offered by Arizonatiles to do the photoshop of the bathroom above. That visualizer does not have many choices of colors for the wall. You can choose any other color but it is something you can choose last.

Thank you Suzanne. I'm glad you added that Cebu tile in the lower right corner because it gives the true color of the floor. It is not that pinkish/plum shade that the photoshop puts on the floor.

I agree that the second toilet is probably the best choice of the three. And I do prefer the overall look of the Kohler.

Hi Krose. Thanks for the links. Where to start.. We bought a condo in Florida last year and gutted it. Using a designer from home (Toledo, Ohio), I did everything from there and hoped it was done by last Dec when we went down. Not so. But, what I want to mention is that, although I lean towards contemporary, I installed a Kohler Memoirs and I love the look. Is your bathroom finished? I'd love to see current photos. This past summer we downsized our home in Ohio and that is the one I am about to start. I love doing this but my husband hates paying for it :) as soon as I get settled in Florida for the winter, I will get started thinking more about my Ohio updates.

Hi Gail. I am using Kohler Memoirs in my remodel and love them. My bathroom is far from finished. We hope to finish by Christmas but I am not sure.
Today was extremely busy as they installed all the cabinets which were extensive.'
The bathroom floor is heated and the closets are gutted. Hardwood floors in bedroom and one closet.
I will be posting pics in the near future.
