We hired Redi-Construction to build a wall of bookshelves in our new apartment and I'm very glad we did! John and his team did a fantastic job transforming an empty wall into a beautiful library that's the focus of our living room. John and Allison's expertise allowed us to customize the entire project so the end result perfectly fit our style and looks better than we could've imagined! I'd highly recommend Redi-Construction for any project, big or small.

John was consistently available and never shied away from the unexpected issues that always come with construction projects. He was thoughtful and understanding, a rare combination in this field, and while our project took longer than expected the craftsmanship was top notch. I also love that John checked back on his own a few months later to see if his handiwork was holding up, knowing things can go awry once the dust settles, and offered to recalibrate one section that went askew. I would definitely hire John again.

These guys are excellent and very professional. Would highly recommend and definitely use them again! They did great work and always cleaned up nicely.

Although they did a good job, the company is mismanaged. Met no deadlines and failed to pay subs and crew. Double and triple check references. Had to hire a new contractor, re-file permits, and hire a lawyer to finish the job.

Redi-Construction helped with renovations in our apartment including tile work (entryway and powder room), paint (entire apartment), concrete finishing (two walls), design and installation of a bar, and last but not least, the primary reason for hiring John was installation of reclaimed wood beams throughout multiple rooms of the apartment. His confidence in what needed to be accomplished and how for this installation was paramount. Throughout the project, John would regularly meet with us to help us understand the project plan, make key decisions and ensure that the project continued to progress forward within budget and on time. The reclaimed wood beam installation was no small feat and the outcome is incredible! It is typically the first and last compliment we get when a friend or relative comes to visit our apartment. Meanwhile, we get to enjoy the bar installation, which made excellent use of previously unused space incorporating a wine cooler with surrounding wine storage, reclaimed wood shelves, and antiqued mirrored back splash. When Redi-Construction was completed, it felt as though we moved into a brand new apartment reflecting our very own personal styles and preferences. John provides top-level craftsmanship. We have already recommended John to assist needs of friends and family and have seen his work product in their homes. I would state that they were equally impressed with the outcome of their services as well.

We used Redi Construction for several small-medium sized projects/re-models in our apartment: painting, wallpaper, adding recessed lights, taking down parts of walls, and creating a "nook" area with a built in desk. I would highly recommend John and his team. They were very professional, responsive and a pleasure to work with. We were very happy with their work and they stayed on the budget they outlined from the beginning. The subcontractors were great, and the end result was exactly what we had hoped for. We'll definitely use them again for any projects in the future - it's great to know we have someone to go to that we can trust and will do incredible work.

I have a landmarked parlor floor coop apt. in Park Slope that, despite the 12-foot ceilings and original features—really needed some help. John and his team came up with a design plan that transformed the place. Everything had to be done from scratch—down to choosing the cabinetry, the fixtures, and the paint colors. He also completely redesigned the hodge-podge layout of my kitchen and made it friendly and stylish, in keeping with the “feel” of the place. All done with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail. Plus, the whole crew was a pleasure to work with. I’d recommend Redi-Construction without reservation!

I use Redi Construction and refer them to clients all of the time. They do such a good job and I am confident in referring them. They pay attention to detail. They get the work done on time and on budget. Not even sure why they have anything less than one star, but you can't please everyone, especially clients who don't want to pay based on the contract. In the end, it is not about the money at this level, it is about the quality of work and the commitment to detail AND Redi Construction, Inc. has it all!! We have worked together on many projects and John and his team have been truly great collaborators. It is hard to find a contractor with good construction knowledge AND design instincts but Redi definitely has this in spades. Strongly recommend them for any high quality residential project.

John and his team tackled a huge gut renovation of a 170 year old Noho loft for us over the past year, and despite several unforeseen twists and turns along the way, mainly stemming from the somewhat decrepit original condition (!) they delivered a wonderful finished product. Working with a tight budget, and against some very specific ideas from myself(!) and our architect, we now have a wonderful home, that is the envy of our friends and family. What we bought back then to what we have now is nothing short of an extraordinary transformation, and incredibly well executed, especially when you consider we have co-op neighbors above/below/left/right, and that their concerns were addressed promptly, efficiently and always with a smile. Everyone on the team shows a dedication to getting the job done right, and that includes the fine-tuning that inevitably needs to be done after move-in. Redi are a safe pair of hands, that work hard and dont drop you on completion!

Renovating our Tribeca loft seemed daunting at first, but McClellan listened to our needs and was readily available throughout the entire project. This open line of communication put our minds at ease, and allowed us to focus on creating a unique and inviting space amidst the city chaos. Our project was completed the week it was promised and the results were exactly what we had envisioned. We've received numerous compliments and love living in our new home!
