Closeup of the undercounter ice maker. We custom made all of the kitchen cabinetry and shelving. The kitchen was a small area so maximizing usable space with function and design was crucial. The island was our biggest challenge. It needed to house several appliances of different size, a farmhouse sink and be able to have function from all 4 sides and still have room for seating space on the backside. The sink side has the farmhouse sink centered with storage drawers to the right that feature wood organizers and a double middle drawer to help hold all the small utensils and still maintain the 3 drawer look from the front view that matches the integrated dishwasher to the left. The right side contains both the integrated soft close trash unit and an icemaker with a third false panel door to maintain the size balance for all three. The left side houses the Sub Zero undercounter freezer. I wanted the face to look like six equal sized drawers, which left the integrated drawer fronts for the freezer overlapping the side panel for the dishwasher. The back of the island has storage tucked up under the seating space. The quartz countertop meets up against the maple butcher block to create a stunning island top. This expansive first floor takes luxury to the next level. A once dreary and dark kitchen, lacking in function, takes on a new look. Natural light floods through the kitchen with wall-to-wall windows, highlighting the gorgeous wood texture from the rift sawn white oak and walnut inset cabinets. A french La Corneau range provides a beautiful focal point, paired with layered designer lighting and various stones. A host’s dream space for entertaining with a hidden pantry, fully stocked with a chefs sink, dishwasher, and wall oven with ample storage for dry goods and small appliances. A morning brew or 5'oclock cocktail can be found in the fully loaded wet bar stocked with an integrated espresso maker, ice maker, refrigerator, freezer, wine cooler, and spirits collected from traveling the globe. Our Gary Way project in Phoenix went from outdated oak cabinets and a small island to a bright, open kitchen. The perimeter cabinets are a white shaker style while the island is a fun blue color. We used open shelving to add texture and centered the cooktop on the backwall to create a focal point. We also updated the nearby linen closest to match the kitchen cabinets. Overall, the kitchen has more storage and is much more functional than it was before! We started by brightening up the space with white shaker cabinets that went all the way to the 10’ ceiling. To break it up, we added glass and puck lights to a few of the stacked uppers so our client could display the glass she handmakes. We centered the cooktop on the back wall, making it the focal point. The subway tile laid in a herringbone pattern acts as a backdrop for the tall stainless-steel hood. Under the cooktop we have rollouts for pots and pans to grab while cooking. We also added a pull-out spice rack to the right of the cooktop for easy access to spices & oils. The left side of the kitchen has everything you need for a coffee and wine bar. With a beverage fridge below and the ice maker nearby in the island, it’s the perfect place to prepare drinks for friends and family. The open wooden shelving matches the nearby fireplace mantle, it adds the perfect amount of texture to this kitchen! Our client decorated them with fun cookbooks and barware. The 10’ tall cabinet to the left has rollouts to keep everything organized. It also serves as an anchor point to the kitchen, the refrigerator mirrors this on the right. The island is a beautiful blue color that plays well with the cool-toned gray & white quartz countertops. We used an apron front composite sink and a Delta faucet with Touch Technology. Next to the sink is the dishwasher and an ice maker. The back of the island has 3 sets of full height doors which is a great place to store items that aren’t used very often. Our client chose fun green counter stools that add a pop of color! Bringing the cabinets all the way to the ceiling really made this kitchen feel larger and more inviting. The blue island adds the pop of color this space needed! We were able to maximize storage and add a larger island. With little touches like the open shelving and glass upper cabinets, this kitchen really came together!

A home office was converted into a full service sports bar. This room has space to seat 20. It has three televisions, a refrigerated wine room, a fireplace and even a secret door. The countertop is zinc, the ceiling tiles are authentic stamped tin. Behind the counter are taps for two kegs, soda machine, custom ice makers, glass chillers and a full professional service bar. There's a cocktail station with integrated drains, refrigeration drawers, and a dedicated dishwasher. Why leave the house?

A young family moving from NYC tackled a makeover of their young colonial revival home to make it feel more personal. Not only do the homeowners have a grill with exceptional cooking capacity for large and small gatherings, the comprehensive design also eliminates the need to leave the party. This is made possible with the integration of fundamental kitchen components such as integrated storage cabinets, dual refrigerator drawers, an ice maker and waste and recycling units.

When my client had to move from her company office to work at home, she set up in the dining room. Despite her best efforts, this was not the long-term solution she was looking for. My client realized she needed a dedicated space not on the main floor of the home. On one hand, having your office space right next to the kitchen is handy. On the other hand, it made separating work and home life was not that easy. The house was a ranch. In essence, the basement would run entire length of the home. As we came down the steps, we entered a time capsule. The house was built in the 1950’s. The walls were covered with original knotty pine paneling. There was a wood burning fireplace and considering this was a basement, high ceilings. In addition, there was everything her family could not store at their own homes. As we wound though the space, I though “wow this has potential”, Eventually, after walking through the laundry room we came to a small nicely lit room. This would be the office. My client looked at me and asked what I thought. Undoubtedly, I said, this can be a great workspace, but do you really want to walk through this basement and laundry to get here? Without reservation, my client said where do we start? Once the design was in place, we started the renovation. The knotty pine paneling had to go. Specifically, to add some insulation and control the dampness and humidity. The laundry room wall was relocated to create a hallway to the office. At the far end of the room, we designated a workout zone. Weights, mats, exercise bike and television are at the ready for morning or afternoon workouts. The space can be concealed by a folding screen for party time. Doors to an old closet under the stairs were relocated to the workout area for hidden storage. Now we had nice wall for a beautiful console and mirror for storage and serving during parties. In order to add architectural details, we covered the old ugly support columns with simple recessed millwork panels. This detail created a visual division between the bar area and the seating area in front of the fireplace. The old red brick on the fireplace surround was replaced with stack stone. A mantle was made from reclaimed wood. Additional reclaimed wood floating shelves left and right of the fireplace provides decorative display while maintaining a rustic element balancing the copper end table and leather swivel rocker. We found an amazing rug which tied all of the colors together further defining the gathering space. Russet and burnt orange became the accent color unifying each space. With a bit of whimsy, a rather unusual light fixture which looks like roots from a tree growing through the ceiling is a conversation piece. The office space is quite and removed from the main part of the basement. There is a desk large enough for multiple screens, a small bookcase holding office supplies and a comfortable chair for conference calls. Because working from home requires many online meetings, we added a shiplap wall painted in Hale Navy to contrast with the orange fabric on the chair. We finished the décor with a painting from my client’s father. This is the background online visitors will see. The last and best part of the renovation is the beautiful bar. My client is an avid collector of wine. She already had the EuroCave refrigerator, so I incorporated it into the design. The cabinets are painted Temptation Grey from Benjamin Moore. The counter tops are my favorite hard working quartzite Brown Fantasy. The backsplash is a combination of rustic wood and old tin ceiling like porcelain tiles. Together with the textures of the reclaimed wood and hide poofs balanced against the smooth finish of the cabinets, we created a comfortable luxury for relaxing. There is ample storage for bottles, cans, glasses, and anything else you can think of for a great party. In addition to the wine storage, we incorporated a beverage refrigerator, an ice maker, and a sink. Floating shelves with integrated lighting illuminate the back bar. The raised height of the front bar provides the perfect wine tasting and paring spot. I especially love the pendant lights which look like wine glasses. Finally, I selected carpet for the stairs and office. It is perfect for noise reduction. Meanwhile for the overall flooring, I specifically selected a high-performance vinyl plank floor. We often use this product as it is perfect to install on a concrete floor. It is soft to walk on, easy to clean and does not reduce the overall height of the space.
