Unique materials such as galvanized piping, corrugated metal and cool light fixtures give the space an industrial feel. Now, this basement functions as the great family hang out space the homeowners envisioned.

Basement game room focused on retro style games, slot machines, pool table. Owners wanted an open feel with a little more industrial and modern appeal, therefore we left the ceiling unfinished. The floors are an epoxy type finish that allows for high traffic usage, easy clean up and no need to replace carpet in the long term.

A closer look at the spacious sectional with a mid-century influenced cocktail table and colorful pillow accents. This picture shows the bar area directly behind the sectional, the open staircase and the floating shelving adjacent to a second separate seating area. The warm gray background, black quartz countertop and the white woodwork provide the perfect accents to create an open, light and inviting basement space.

This basement renovation is a movie-lover's dream. It includes a wet bar, large comfortable sectional and a large screen and projector.

With complimenting colors, this entertainment space is just as enjoyable to look at as it is to be in. The dark tones warm up the space and can be seen throughout in accent pieces and the large wooden media stand that the TV has been mounted on. For this residential project on the North side of Fort Wayne, Indiana we used a penetrating dye to color the concrete. We started by grinding the floor to remove the cure and seal, and going through the necessary passes to bring the floor to an 800-level shine - a reflective shine that is easy to maintain. We then cleaned the floor, added the custom dye, (with a mixture of black and sand), rinsed the floor, densified and finished with a final polish.
