Off the Office, Foyer, and Kitchen is a multi-purpose Workroom. Everything happens here as it functions as a Mudroom, Laundry Room, Pantry, Craft Area and provides tons of extra storage. The cabinets were install with additional trim around them to make the overlay cabinet feel like inset. The room boast a farmhouse sink, laundry area, drying rack, along with an additional refrigerators and oversize pantry.

Inspiration for the kitchen draws from the client’s eclectic, cosmopolitan style and the industrial 1920s. There is a French gas range in Delft Blue by LaCanche and antiques which double as prep spaces and storage. Custom-made, ceiling mounted open shelving with steel frames and reclaimed wood are practical and show off favorite serve-ware. A small bank of lower cabinets house small appliances and large pots between the kitchen and mudroom. Light reflects off the paneled ceiling and Florence Broadhurst wallpaper at the far wall.

This penthouse in an industrial warehouse pairs old and new for versatility, function, and beauty. Modern custom pine green cabinets offer plenty of storage. An extended multi-purpose island with a waterfall edge includes seating, storage and sink.

The large multi-purpose laundry and mud room is as stylish as it is functional with white quartz countertops, a polished brown ceramic tile backsplash and matte gray porcelain tile floor. Custom shaker cabinets boasts floor to ceiling storage with a cozy built in-window seat painted in Benjamin Moore’s Cloud Sky. Additional features include a side-by-side washer and dryer, full-size laundry sink with black under mount sink and matte black pull out spray faucet.

This bathroom vanity cabinet has white doors inset in walnut frames for added interest and ties both color schemes together for added cohesion. The vanity tower cabinet is a multi-purpose storage cabinet accessed on all (3) sides. The face is a medicine cabinet and the sides are his and her storage with outlets. This allows for easy use of electric toothbrushes, razors and hairdryers. Below, there are also his and her pull-outs with adjustable shelving to keep the taller toiletries organized and at hand. The design team with Janie Petkus of Janie Petkus Interiors, Cyrus Rivetna of Rivetna Architects, and Gail Drury of Drury Design all worked together to design an inviting and luxurious destination for an entire family to gather all year round. Key design features addressed in this remodel included highlighting beautiful views of the Lake, brightening up the space, and modernizing the design to fit the needs of the family that loves to entertain The home is filled with lots of adults and kids regularly and the kitchen needed to function well for multi cooks as well large family gatherings. Therefore multi-work areas and large expanses of countertop space for buffets were a must. These design ideas paired with lots of seating at the island and the oversized table gave enough room for everyone. A multimetal hood with an antique patina was included to add an element of WOW to the space. A large multi-burner stove, two large sinks, two dishwashers, and three waste receptacles were strategically located in multiple locations so multiple family members could use the space simultaneously. An area off to the side in the family room that was designated as a desk area was multi-purposed to function as a buffet area for the large family dinners.
