With an existing pool and retaining walls, we took this space and made it more modern offering many various spaces for lounging, enjoying the fire, listening to the water feature and an upper synthetic turf area for playing games. It is complete with bluestone pavers, a modern water feature and reflecting pool, a raised ipe deck, synthetic turf, glass railings, a modern, gas fire bowl and a stunning cedar privacy wall!

Bursts of burnt orange and nature-themed artwork were the accents, while rich wooden furnishings, tailored furnishings, and lush textiles complemented. This modern transitional home was designed for a family of four and their pets. Our Indianapolis studio used wood detailing and medium wood floors to give the home a warm, welcoming vibe. We used a variety of statement lights to add drama to the look, and the furniture is comfortable and complements the bright palette of the home. This three-story Westhampton Beach home designed for family get-togethers features a large entry and open-plan kitchen, dining, and living room. The kitchen was gut-renovated to merge seamlessly with the living room. For worry-free entertaining and clean-up, we used lots of performance fabrics and refinished the existing hardwood floors with a custom greige stain. A palette of blues, creams, and grays, with a touch of yellow, is complemented by natural materials like wicker and wood. The elegant furniture, striking decor, and statement lighting create a light and airy interior that is both sophisticated and welcoming, for beach living at its best, without the fuss!

The owners of this Old Metairie home love to spend time in the kitchen preparing meals and entertaining family and friends. Cabinets by Design outfitted the kitchen with custom French Blue cabinets that provide ample storage and complement the interiors. Off the kitchen, a butler’s pantry with matching cabinetry provides additional storage while a family room wet bar includes a wine cooler and ice machine.

Intentional. Elevated. Artisanal. With three children under the age of 5, our clients were starting to feel the confines of their Pacific Heights home when the expansive 1902 Italianate across the street went on the market. After learning the home had been recently remodeled, they jumped at the chance to purchase a move-in ready property. We worked with them to infuse the already refined, elegant living areas with subtle edginess and handcrafted details, and also helped them reimagine unused space to delight their little ones. Elevated furnishings on the main floor complement the home’s existing high ceilings, modern brass bannisters and extensive walnut cabinetry. In the living room, sumptuous emerald upholstery on a velvet side chair balances the deep wood tones of the existing baby grand. Minimally and intentionally accessorized, the room feels formal but still retains a sharp edge—on the walls moody portraiture gets irreverent with a bold paint stroke, and on the the etagere, jagged crystals and metallic sculpture feel rugged and unapologetic. Throughout the main floor handcrafted, textured notes are everywhere—a nubby jute rug underlies inviting sofas in the family room and a half-moon mirror in the living room mixes geometric lines with flax-colored fringe. On the home’s lower level, we repurposed an unused wine cellar into a well-stocked craft room, with a custom chalkboard, art-display area and thoughtful storage. In the adjoining space, we installed a custom climbing wall and filled the balance of the room with low sofas, plush area rugs, poufs and storage baskets, creating the perfect space for active play or a quiet reading session. The bold colors and playful attitudes apparent in these spaces are echoed upstairs in each of the children’s imaginative bedrooms. This home in Greenwood Village was in need of an updated kitchen with more cabinet space and natural lighting. The custom-built dark beams in the ceiling are complemented with white cabinets and large windows allowing for great natural light. The planter area behind the intricate copper sink sits above a drain for easy watering. The plants are also in a great location to soak up the Colorado sun! The lighted cabinets also draw attention to the family’s precious collections. Other updates included the living room and adjacent sitting area. We created a custom bookshelf to match the ceiling beams, allowing the family more room to display books and keepsakes. The sitting area included a one-of-a-kind, handmade mosaic artwork that our team installed above the new fireplace.
