Inspiration for a small timeless galley dark wood floor enclosed kitchen remodel in Los Angeles with a drop-in sink, raised-panel cabinets, white cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and no island

This relatively small bathroom has been designed to maximise space and useability. The alcoves built into the bath wall, in addition to the open shelving, allow storage for bath items. The large tabular sink offers surface space for vanity items, in the absence of a typical vanity unit. The large mirror matches the width of the sink, and is border-lit and heated. Using the same wood-effect tiling on the floor and feature wall provide continuity and avoids too many differing surfaces in a small area, opening the space up a bit more.

Farmer’s Table The Farmer’s Table differs from the William and Mary Table by the use of more substantial legs with bold ball turnings and the absence of a stretcher base. Just like the originals, pegged and mortised breadboard ends expand and contract with the seasons to stabilize the wide solid boards on the top.

The client, a young bachelor, with a passion to traveling dreamed about a contemporary yet cozy apartment which is not overloaded with unnecessary decor elements and with minimum indoor plants he couldn't take care for during his lengthy absences. The apartment was minimally rearranged, additional study room was organized, also a laundry & utility closet found it's place, bathroom and toilet went separate to give more comfort and fulfill client's wish.

The primary area of this in-law suite serves multiple functions. It seamlessly integrates a kitchen and living room, and can be converted into a home office during the absence of the in-laws. This versatile space offers a tranquil retreat, regardless of whether the in-laws are in town.

This office only has one slender window, so an absence of natural light means our attention needs to be captured elsewhere with reflective and bright furnishings and accessories. A tactile sheer drapery dresses up the window. Mission accomplished!
