Example of a mid-sized trendy galley multicolored floor enclosed kitchen design in Raleigh with an undermount sink, shaker cabinets, stainless steel appliances and an island

Built in 1907 and nestled into the beating heart of San Fran’s Bernal Heights neighbourhood, this adorable abode was an unpolished gem ready to be turned into our clients’ dream home.
Our mission was to gift Bonview with classic, natural and timeless style while setting it up with impressive functionality so that it was ready to be the pet-friendly, kid-friendly and entertaining-friendly home they needed it to be. Mission accepted!
Our clients’ vision was clear: They wanted whites, blacks and wood tones with texture and personality. Oh, and that spunky wine fridge? Yep, that was a non-negotiable. ?
“It’s not unusual for our friends and family to drop past unannounced any day of the week. And we love it!” They told us during our initial Design Therapy Sesh.
We knew immediately what she meant - we have an open-door policy with our families, too! Which was why we consciously created living spaces that were open, inviting and welcoming.
Now, the only problem our clients would have would be convincing their guests to leave!
Our clients also enjoyed cooking and baking casually, so we created an organized, intuitive and functional kitchen and pantry that made whipping up homemade dips and snacks for their game nights a breeze.

The clients had an existing deck and decortive corner pergola structure that was built over 20 years ago by Creative Wood Products. Time and the elements had taken their toll on the structure and some of the decking areas. We replaced the entire corner pergola with one that looked similar with the only changes being to make the structure sturdier for their chain swing that they hang off of it . Rather than have them go through the expense of replacing all of the decking ( which after 20+ years will still in very good shape across the majority of the deck ) we cut off the areas of comprimised wood and reframed the substructure to accept a feature strip at the bay area . This allowed us to replace the areas of bad material and make it look like a design feature that was always there. It saved the clients considerable expense, and when stained to match, will look great. The corner pergola is now much more stable and ready for years more of relaxing in their chain swing underneath it. Thank you very much Mr. & Mrs. Nerreter for allowing us to revitalize your backyard retreat !

Ocala Kitchen and Bath Inc. made all of the custom cabinetry at the Ocala residence. The various colors of white are all custom colors.
The cabinetry made from River-Recovered® Midnight Cypress is the kitchen island, the floating shelves in the kitchen, the pantry, and the kitchen hood. Ocala Kitchen and Bath Inc. custom designed and engineered the island and hood.
Two-inch thick material is used to make the frame pieces for the sides and back frame. They are dowelled and glued then clamped together. They had been cut for a lap joint or rabbit joint to accept the tongue and groove 3/4″ thick pieces which are put into the frame and pinned and held in place by a batten around the frame as well. The end shapes are routed by hand. The same style end shapes are on the hood bottom structure as well to be able to repeat the design feature. Everything is sanded and hand sanded and made ready for finishing.
The door frames are mitered, biscuit jointed and glued together. The center panels are laminated with lamellas. All the face frames are dowelled and glued. The backs of the doors have a mitered batten frame around the panel to hold it in place. The small leg details in the front of the island are made and put at the bottom toe space area.
The hood is custom designed. The bottom section is 2″ thick material and the top section is built as a plywood shape to set on top of the base part of the hood. Dan Petersen of Heritage Wood Finish applied the lamellas. Dan and Jan Grosse of Ocala Kitchen and Bath Inc. chose the color combination and he glued them in place and sanded them. He also applied the lamellas to thin plywood panels sized for the cabinet door inserts
Floating shelves are constructed with the Midnight Cypress and made to accept the LED lights flush on the bottoms. They have a top and bottom with a void for the wood mounting structure and fit like a sleeve. They have an open area for wiring. The faces of the shelves are mitered.
The entire project is hand-finished with Woca Diamond Active Oil- Natural and then gone over again with Woca Diamond Active Oil- Concrete Grey to achieve the desired tone.

Our mission was to gift Bellevue with classic, natural and timeless style while setting it up with impressive functionality so that it was ready to be an entertaining-friendly home they needed it to be. Mission accepted!
Our clients’ vision was clear: They wanted the focal point of every space to be the view of Oakland while making it cozy and infusing the space with color.
We carefully selected a neutral color palette and balanced it with pops of color, unique greenery and personal touches to bring our clients’ vision of a stylish modern and casual vibes to life.
An open floor concept was created by combing the Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, + Seating Nook with lots of open space.
We sourced low furniture to ensure we maximized the views and had enough space for everyday living and throwing dinner parties.
Our clients also enjoyed cooking, so we created an organized, intuitive, functional and modern kitchen that made whipping up homemade dips and snacks for their friends a breeze.

This kitchen was a Reface Project from “Showplace Wood Products- Renew” line! The perimeter doors and drawers are Showplaces “Arlington” door style in their new Coastal Gray in a Casual Vintage Matte Finish with Walnut Glaze. The island was restyled to look like a piece of furniture by adding decorative fluted leg posts in the corners in Showplaces and adding a row of apothecary drawers to raise the upper level to accept the glass countertop. The cherry wood doors and drawers on the island are Showplace’s “Waterford” door style in Russet stain with Vintage Matte Finish that has been distressed to look old and weather with time.

This is a view of the stove wall of the kitchen. On the right as you enter the room is the closet for care taking of the home. The cabinetry uses elements from the Early America's furniture found in Virginia. The panels typically use collection molds to frame the panel itself. Door and panel styles are important: the type chosen may either tie the cabinetry to the house, conflict with the house's architecture or simply be acceptable. This historic home had examples of two types to choose from: a "bollection" style panel of a short raised panel. We let the home dictate the style and detail of the cabinetry to ensure a seamless feeling throughout.

from 62nd to 158th Street along Manhattan’s West Side, Riverside Park is a vast expanse of green space on the edge of the Hudson River. The park is home to beautiful gardens, landscaped paths, sports facilities, public art, and some of the most stunning river views. For that reason it is widely regarded as Manhattan’s most spectacular waterfront park. No wonder it is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in the city. This interior project set along the scenic section of the Hudson came with only one criteria….make it cool. As a second home and city escape the client wanted a hip retreat for family and guests with a turn key interior. DL happily accepted the challenge creating unique and beautiful custom pieces and selecting everything from the wall-coverings to the kitchen appliances. As this was a secondary residence we had the freedom and flexibility to create an even more artful environment. These elements are apparent with the strong use of metal, concrete and the sculptural details of the furniture.
