This stunning kitchen remodel in Glendale reflects the elements of highly sophisticated styling with the warmth of a casual dining and entertaining. The Wellborn Cabinets were selected from the Premier Line in the Hawthorn Cabinet Series in Maple. The Glaicier finish softs the look of a stark wihite and shows off the detailing of the rope pattern in the inset of the cabinet panels. A Hand Selected Calcatta Vigal Honed Counter-top was selected to add movement to the room and balance the bronze hardware, plumbing, and light fixtures. The Oil Rubbed Bronze Faucet, Sidespray and Wall Mounted Pot Filler all come from the Moen Showhouse Waterhill Collection. The lighting fixtures were a find of the homeowners. All the appliances are Dacor except for the Asko Dishwasher and Best Hood, which was inserted in the beautiful Wellborn Hood complimenting the Cabinets. A Dickinson 33” X 22” Farmhouse Sink in white added to the Island completes the working triangle of the Kitchen, yet open conversation to family and guest while doing the many tasks that involves the sink. Each end the Island has a surprising detail- one has doors for additional storage and the other has book shelves for cookbooks or specialty display items. The backsplash 3” X 6” tile is installed in a running bond pattern with a rope boarder framed above the cooktop bringing the continued detail that runs throughout the cabinet fronts. Lacing in and matching the existing hardwood flooring that continues throughout the house warms the room and invites all to join the fun in the Kitchen.

Originally wood, CCFF refinished this Crooked Creek Kitchen with new Shaker style doors to an off white painted finish. Other additions include new crown/light rail molding, new buffet area with wine cooler, microwave/oven area rebuilt, new custom stovetop hood, built-in refrigerator, island enlarged & legs added, hand made Italian backsplash, soft closing hinges, new drawer boxes and pot drawers.

The beautiful and subtle texture of the creamy cabinets in combination with striking and bold kitchen island with additional shelves create a balanced and charming feel of this kitchen. It’s first impression was memorable as immediately after entering the front door, just past the dining table, there was a tree growing in the middle of home! Upon further inspection of the space it became apparent that this home had undergone several alterations during its lifetime... Additional details like the geometric wall paper in the foyer, the vintage light fixture in the living room, and the bold drapery help to tie everything together to create a cohesive mid-century modern feel throughout the entire home.

From the cathedral ceilings with custom stained scissor beams in the great room with neighboring pristine white on white main kitchen and chef-grade prep kitchen beyond, to the luxurious spa-like dual master bathrooms, the aesthetics of this home are the epitome of timeless elegance. Every detail is geared toward creating an upscale retreat from the hectic pace of day-to-day life. A neutral backdrop and an abundance of natural light, paired with vibrant accents of yellow, blues, greens and mixed metals shine throughout the home.

This kitchen was designed to function around a large family. The owners spend their weekend prepping large meals with extended family, so we gave them as much countertop space to prep and cook as we could. Tall cabinets, a secondary banks of drawers, and a bar area, were placed to the connecting space from the kitchen to the dining room for additional storage. Finally, a light wood and selective accents were chosen to give the space a light and airy feel.

Hamptons-Inspired Kitchen One cannot help but feel a distinct sense of serenity and timeless beauty when entering this Hamptons-style kitchen. Bathed in natural light and shimmering with inspired accents and details, this complete kitchen transformation is at once elegant and inviting. Plans and elevations were conceived to create balance and function without sacrificing harmony and visual intrigue. A metal custom hood, with an eye-catching brass band and impeccably balanced cabinets on either side, provides a strong focal point for the kitchen, which can be viewed from the adjacent living room. Brass faucets, hardware and light fixtures complement and draw further attention to this anchoring element. A wall of glass cabinetry enhances the existing windows and pleasantly expands the sense of openness in the space. Taj Mahal quartzite blends gracefully with the cabinet finishes. Cream-tone, herringbone tiles are custom-cut into different patterns to create a sense of visual movement as the eyes move across the room. An elegant, marble-top island paired with sumptuous, leather-covered stools, not only offers extra counterspace, but also an ideal gathering place for loved ones to enjoy. This unforgettable kitchen gem shines even brighter with the addition of glass cabinets, designed to display the client’s collection of Portmeirion china. Careful consideration was given to the selection of stone for the countertops, as well as the color of paint for the cabinets, to highlight this inspiring collection. Breakfast room A thoughtfully blended mix of furniture styles introduces a splash of European charm to this Hamptons-style kitchen, with French, cane-back chairs providing a sense of airy elegance and delight. A performance velvet adorns the banquette, which is piled high with lush cushions for optimal comfort while lounging in the room. Another layer of texture is achieved with a wool area rug that defines and accentuates this gorgeous breakfast nook with sprawling views of the outdoors. Finishing features include drapery fabric and Brunschwig and Fils Bird and Thistle paper, whose natural, botanic pattern combines with the beautiful vistas of the backyard to inspire a sense of being in a botanical, outdoor wonderland.

The homeowners had a very specific vision for their large daylight basement. To begin, Neil Kelly's team, led by Portland Design Consultant Fabian Genovesi, took down numerous walls to completely open up the space, including the ceilings, and removed carpet to expose the concrete flooring. The concrete flooring was repaired, resurfaced and sealed with cracks in tact for authenticity. Beams and ductwork were left exposed, yet refined, with additional piping to conceal electrical and gas lines. Century-old reclaimed brick was hand-picked by the homeowner for the east interior wall, encasing stained glass windows which were are also reclaimed and more than 100 years old. Aluminum bar-top seating areas in two spaces. A media center with custom cabinetry and pistons repurposed as cabinet pulls. And the star of the show, a full 4-seat wet bar with custom glass shelving, more custom cabinetry, and an integrated television-- one of 3 TVs in the space. The new one-of-a-kind basement has room for a professional 10-person poker table, pool table, 14' shuffleboard table, and plush seating.

Inspiration for a transitional bathroom remodel in Cleveland

This flight inspired nursery was designed for a family with a passion for travel. A beloved antique travel poster and existing crib were the starting points for our design. We worked with artists on etsy.com to develop some unique custom elements for the room. Our favorite is a vintage inspired plane propeller that was crafted as a childhood growth chart. In house, we crafted a paper airplane mobile from city street map inspired paper and a reclaimed bike rim. Tailored blackout lined drapes were added to soften the room and provide a light-free space for baby to rest. The patterned rug is a fun addition that has become the family’s favorite baby photo op spot! The house's second bathroom was only half a bath with an access door at the dining area. We extended the bathroom by an additional 36" into the family room and relocated the entry door to be in the minor hallway leading to the family room as well. A classical transitional bathroom with white crayon style tile on the walls, including the entire wall of the toilet and the vanity. The alcove tub has a barn door style glass shower enclosure. and the color scheme is a classical white/gold/blue mix.
