W Design Interiors

I visited some of the projects of the these designers first hand and was impressed with their product. We laid out a $20,000 deposit but within a couple weeks realized that we would not be proceeding with the build and would be staying in our original house so that our kids could stay at the school they love. There had been virtually no design work done, and while the it was "nonrefundable" the deposit was supposed to be applied to the hourly rate of the services provided. When I asked for a refund, less whatever expenses for the email communications, the firm told me they would be keeping the entire deposit, citing passing up on other clients in the 5 week interval between the deposit and the decision not to proceed as the reason for keeping the money. There were other statements made that should have clued me into their frivolousness, and I am only glad that I found out about their lack of budgetary concern before engaging them further. Our plans were for a several million dollar build, but the very idea of financial restraint doesn't seem to enter into their thought process. I think the "W" stands for Wasteful, and I would not use them if you don't want to throw money out the "W"indow.

We hired W Design to do a whole house design and are very disappointed in the design and our dealings with Wendy. She re-used furniture selections for our house that she had selected for other condos and homes. She picked a Dining Room table that had to be returned twice. The first time it arrived damaged and the second time it had a defective finish. She never helped us find another table and just abandoned us to find a table on our own. She tried to charge us a $10,000 up-charge on draperies for our home. We decided to purchase those on our own when we discovered the up-charge on top of retail prices. She also goofed on the layout of the Living Room. When all the furniture arrived, it was like a fortress to try and get in to sit on the couch. Thankfully, her assistant designer agreed that we had too much furniture and they took back several pieces. A console that was selected for the Office was cheap and overpriced. Overall, a very poor experience and we had to hire another designer to finish the project.

Very professional and forward-thinking. We've enjoyed our b2b with W Design very much and look forward to continuing our mutual desire to make Naples DAZZLE and SHIMMER!

We wanted to use W Design for our project, as we had seen a magnificent home W Design had built/decorated with the owners. For us, the process has been very smooth. All the staff is truly professional from the administrative assistants, CAD designers and product selection designers. They took our blueprints, made beneficial changes and brought our design to life with 3-D renderings. They are very creative and inventive and totally understood the outcomes we were looking for while, at the same time, worked very harmoniously with all the trades. The furniture, which we selected from pictures, turned out to be extremely comfortable and beautiful. The professionals at W Design were a joy to work with from start to finish and we would encourage anyone who is looking for a special environment, be it residential or commercial, to engage them.

Wendy Berry and her team delivered an incredible job by listening to what we wanted and making it happen. Their ability to make each room as we envisioned was incredible. They are true professionals and have all the resources including a lovely studio in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. For our new home they built a bedroom into a Parisian apartment (as my daughter wanted), a wine cellar/cigar room (as I wanted) an aspen lodge feel for my snowboarding son among many more unique rooms with maintaining complete comfortableness which we stressed. She has some great ideas on outside hardscapes and pool setting that are incredible. The furniture that she sourced was top quality and unique to our tastes. Much of what she brought to our project was quality people, products and her process is great.
