Hot tub - mid-sized rustic backyard concrete and custom-shaped natural hot tub idea in Philadelphia
Hot tub - mid-sized rustic backyard concrete and custom-shaped natural hot tub idea in Philadelphia

Apple Blossom Resort was a new-construction facility in which our team installed polished concrete floors. The floor coloring was kept natural to compliment the other natural materials that were implemented in the space. Aggregate exposure was brought to a mixture of cream and sand exposure (classes A & B). The floors were polished to a 200-grit finish (matte).

We added this 2 sided gas fireplace to the composite deck to create some privacy for the upper deck as well as a secluded lower patio for additional seating. Concrete edge, exposed aggregate patio and a pergola with retractable canopy all come together to create a perfect & private back yard oasis.

What an awesome project!! Our client wanted us to design and build a complete custom backyard that had to match up with the existing rock on the house. They wanted warm natural cedar accents throughout as well that carried from the mantle on the massive outdoor fireplace over to the outdoor kitchen and privacy screens & gates. We finished with stainless steel cabinets, Dacor inset grill, 40" firebox, as well as fridge. Our client also wanted us to overlay rock onto the parging at the rear of the house to tie it all in. The project was capped off with natural rock accent boulders and an address rock as well as custom aluminum fencing and large trees for privacy. We added concrete edge and exposed aggregate patio to create an extremely cozy area for socializing and relaxing that has great curb appeal!!

Exposed aggregate concrete steps with landscape lighting are complemented by vibrant yellow blooms and neatly manicured greenery, adding texture and color to this elegant landscape design.

This backyard received a complete facelift with new exposed aggregate concrete deck, 12" red brick coping, tile, and white plaster. The raised wall also needed to be reconstructed due to deterioration.

A great example of a front yard makeover that turns a simple sloped front yard with old dead grass and a couple of trees into a functional, beautiful stepped yard that still incorporates some grass but also stepped raised planters, natural rock, and wide substantial concrete steps and sitting areas for tremendous curb appeal!!!

Our client wanted to be “wowed” and drawn from the home into the outdoor living space. As artists, they wanted a unique design that would transition from a more intimately situated pool close to the home out into their expansive property highlighting their view. From the sand colored aggregate on the beach entry to the hand-made glass tile on the pool, spa and catch basin, every detail was taken into consideration to complement the existing home and landscape.
This pool won a SILVER International and a BRONZE Region Design award
The materials used on this project include a Versailles pattern Travertine decking, Lunada Bay glass tile, Travertine coping, MicroFusion exposed aggregate interior finish, Sand in beach entry, Tahoe in pool, spa and catch basin/grotto, Zodiac Jandy pool equipment.

This small back garden in the Richmond District was surrounded by tall homes on three sides and offered no direct access from the upstairs unit. We designed a circular patio embedded with recycled glass aggregate that draws people down into the garden. Our thoughtful selection of trees makes this small space feel larger- Japanese maples and Ginkgo trees provide a lacy foliage screen from the adjacent buildings. A spiral staircase was added to give the upstairs unit easy access to the garden below. The spiral staircase is powder coated in a deep midnight blue to complement the recycled glass aggregate in the patio.

Featured here is a project that utilized Bomanite Imprint Systems and Bomanite Exposed Aggregate Antico and these hardscape surfaces would be great to add unique design detail to any residence while providing an enticing atmosphere for year-round living.

Our client contacted us wanting to create a relatively maintenance free yard that focuses on relaxing family time spent in the sun as opposed to yard work. We designed and built the project utilizing synthetic grass, aggregate bedding and wonderful paving stone patio with a large cedar privacy pergola as the main focal point. Lighting & concrete edging along with step stones finished off this stunning project!!

Exposed aggregate is bordered by colored concrete for an eye catching driveway design.

The perimeter overflow spa features black porcelain tile to match the waterline tile of the pool. When the spa is not in use it displays a mirror like surface as water recirculates back into the pool. The pool features a durable, non-slip and stain-resistant Pebble Tec exposed aggregate interior in Moonlight Grey.

Vertical, flush, cypress siding. Lifetime/quebracho finish. Doggett mountain rock, galvalume standing seam roof, timber framed screened porch, cold rolled steel garage doors, exposed aggregate driveway

They wanted a cozy fire pit area that also contained a 3 piece natural rock bubbler. They also wanted a spa area with lounger space for sunbathing as well as a beach area for sandcastles and beach toy storage. No expense was spared with a custom pergola, natural rock retaining and steps as well as landscape lighting and well placed trees and shrubs. Our client wanted a cost effective and low maintenance yard that was still functional and beautiful! No problem!! With easy to mow sod areas separated from bedding by concrete edge the maintenance is very easy. Aggregate side yards are maintenance free and a smart programmable wifi irrigation system that works from your phone makes watering a breeze. Enjoy!!
