Great rooms with high ceilings and walls of window are an amazing feature in many houses. We love to help keep out the glare, heat and UV light so you can leave the windows uncovered and enjoy their natural beauty.

Choose the same fabric to cover your Arch Window and the rectangular window below. Valance for the Arch Window and Roman for the Rectangular Window.

Example of a huge classic l-shaped dark wood floor eat-in kitchen design in Other with an island, recessed-panel cabinets, white cabinets, granite countertops, white backsplash, subway tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances

Custom Designed by MossCreek. This true timber frame home is perfectly suited for its location. The timber frame adds the warmth of wood to the house, while also allowing numerous windows to let the sun in during Spring and Summer. Craftsman styling mixes with sleek design elements throughout the home, and the large two story great room features soaring timber frame trusses, with the timber frame gracefully curving through every room of this beautiful, and elegant vacation home. Reverse Shed Eichler
This project is part tear-down, part remodel. The original L-shaped plan allowed the living/ dining/ kitchen wing to be completely re-built while retaining the shell of the bedroom wing virtually intact. The rebuilt entertainment wing was enlarged 50% and covered with a low-slope reverse-shed roof sloping from eleven to thirteen feet. The shed roof floats on a continuous glass clerestory with eight foot transom. Cantilevered steel frames support wood roof beams with eaves of up to ten feet. An interior glass clerestory separates the kitchen and livingroom for sound control. A wall-to-wall skylight illuminates the north wall of the kitchen/family room. New additions at the back of the house add several “sliding” wall planes, where interior walls continue past full-height windows to the exterior, complimenting the typical Eichler indoor-outdoor ceiling and floor planes. The existing bedroom wing has been re-configured on the interior, changing three small bedrooms into two larger ones, and adding a guest suite in part of the original garage. A previous den addition provided the perfect spot for a large master ensuite bath and walk-in closet. Natural materials predominate, with fir ceilings, limestone veneer fireplace walls, anigre veneer cabinets, fir sliding windows and interior doors, bamboo floors, and concrete patios and walks. Landscape design by Bernard Trainor: www.bernardtrainor.com (see “Concrete Jungle” in April 2014 edition of Dwell magazine). Microsoft Media Center installation of the Year, 2008: www.cybermanor.com/ultimate_install.html (automated shades, radiant heating system, and lights, as well as security & sound).

The reclaimed brick façade with limestone accents, steel windows and slate roof create a timeless aesthetic that blends harmoniously into the college town historic district where this home is located. The English Arts and Crafts inspired design gives the it a unique style and presence in the streetscape.

The warmth of the timber framing, stone and cream wall color add warmth to the open great room.

"The Fox Hunt"
These are photos of rooms I designed for the Oxford Arts Alliance Show House, in Chadds Ford.
The moment I entered the room and looked out the windows I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the space. That inspiration led me down several paths both old and new that eventually created the room as you see it here... As you glance out a window, you may see a lone fox trotting across the property, or hear the sound of hounds in the distance.
