Compost is a natural, long-lasting way to feed your soil, and a wonderfully sustainable way to dispose of kitchen and garden waste. These spacious bins are big enough to fit plenty of vegetable scraps as well as lawn clippings and leaves. Systems are made entirely of rot-resistant cedar and enclosed on all sides with sturdy wire mesh that allows air to flow to and through the compost. Removable front panels and hinged lids make for easy access. Systems are available in triple, double, and single bin configurations. Comes with the classic book about composting Let it Rot!: The Gardener's Guide to Composting by Stu Campbell.

Home office - transitional built-in desk dark wood floor and brown floor home office idea in Baltimore with white walls

For their third Urbanology collaboration, longtime clients and close friends, the Songs, both physicians, envisioned a beautifully designed home in Dallas that exuded calm functionality and understated beauty. Rooted in their Asian heritage and Kim’s love for wabi-sabi simplicity, the design embraced clean lines, warm neutrals, and tactile materials that feel approachable yet elevated. The entry and living spaces were reimagined with textural millwork and a sculptural fireplace, creating cohesion and a serene rhythm between daily life and family gatherings.
In the office, a once-awkward layout was transformed through custom millwork that turned the piano into a purposeful centerpiece, joined by a reading nook and seamless storage. The expansive primary bedroom gained intimacy and balance through built-in plaster planters, library-style cabinetry, and a curved sofa perfect for evening wine and conversation. Peter’s guest-turned-primary bath became a master class in function, featuring seamless, antimicrobial surfaces and smart hidden storage for his daily rituals.
Through every detail, this third phase of the Midway Hollow residence reflects “the art of ease”: spaces that are clean but lived-in, practical but poetic. What began as functional refinements evolved into a warm, layered home—one that honors the couple’s rhythm, heritage, and pursuit of a life beautifully designed, but never overdone.

This impressive bespoke fitted media wall, tailored storage and display features, was handcrafted and installed by Bespoke by Acorn for our clients’ private family residence in Sutton, Surrey. Spanning the entire wall from floor to ceiling, the structure and style make the unit look and feel like an architectural part of the living room.
The custom-built joinery features handcrafted built-in storage and lighting, with plug sockets and cables elegantly concealed. We also created the curtain rail which integrates seamlessly into the TV unit and wall panelling achieving a cohesive, streamlined look.
Natural oak grain with a dark grey luxury finish
The custom-built TV wall cabinet is modern minimalist in design and flawlessly finished in oak with a graphite wood stain. This sophisticated deep grey colour reflects the resurgence of retro luxury in interior design and matches the style of the property’s interior décor scheme. A premium quality satin lacquer gives the surface a protective hardwearing finish.
Bespoke layout, storage and lighting
For this media wall unit, our clients wanted to have open made-to-measure display areas with low-level cupboards for storage. The lower cabinets have sleek, minimalist doors featuring an effortless, push to open, handle-free design. Bespoke integrated dimmable LED lighting which adds visual dimension, illuminates artworks and brings an attractive ambience to the room.
The upper grid layout achieves a pleasing sense of balance and harmony, with attractive pieces on display, while other items such as equipment and everyday essentials are discreetly stored behind closed doors.

Example of a mid-sized classic backyard deck design in Atlanta with a roof extension

This lush and colorful hillside was once a barren, dry slope full of weeds and briars. We created the river rock stone terraced walls mainly to retain the truckloads of good garden soil that we added so that this hill could be planted successfully. The curved design is very attractive and the rustic style blends well with the log cabin architecture of the house. We also added large boulders nearby. You can see a few to the far right.
