This bathroom remodel was completed in Loganville, GA for Robert and Elaine. The homeowners wanted to keep their existing vanity cabinets, while changing the style to a more transitional look. The use of soft beige/greige colors really brightened up this bathroom, and the seamless glass shower really opens up the space.

The completed Town & Country project features a new segmental block retaining wall and rebuilt wood deck, replacing the deteriorated railroad-tie system that previously occupied the backyard. The new wall creates a cleaner grade transition and more organized outdoor space, while the deck provides a comfortable connection between the home and backyard.

Home design - modern home design idea in Raleigh

Located right off the Primary bedroom – this bathroom is located in the far corners of the house. It should be used as a retreat, to rejuvenate and recharge – exactly what our homeowners asked for. We came alongside our client – listening to the pain points and hearing the need and desire for a functional, calming retreat, a drastic change from the disjointed, previous space with exposed pipes from a previous renovation. We worked very closely through the design and materials selections phase, hand selecting the marble tile on the feature wall, sourcing luxe gold finishes and suggesting creative solutions (like the shower’s linear drain and the hidden niche on the inside of the shower’s knee wall). The Maax Tosca soaker tub is a main feature and our client's #1 request. Add the Toto Nexus bidet toilet and a custom double vanity with a countertop tower for added storage, this luxury retreat is a must for busy, working parents.

After! The newly renovated bathroom features a totally open space with a frameless shower enclosure, white furniture style vanity, soft grey beadboard wainscotting, white woodwork, black porcelain tile flooring and a soft gray wall color. Note the newly constructed custom storage reflected in the mirror. The open shelving has a metallic patterned modern damask wall covering.

We were asked to create something really special for one of our most admired clients. This home has been a labor of love for both of us as we finally made it exactly what she wanted it to be. After many concept ideas we landed on a design that is stunning! All of the elements on her wish list are incorporated in this challenging, multi-level landscape: A front yard to match the modern traditional-style home while creating privacy from the street; a side yard that proudly connects the front and back; and a lower level with plantings in lush greens, whites, purples and pinks and plentiful lawn space for kids and dogs. Her outdoor living space includes an outdoor kitchen with bar, outdoor living room with fireplace, dining patio, a bedroom-adjacent lounging patio with modern fountain, enclosed vegetable garden, rose garden walk with European-style fountain and meditation bench, and a fire pit with sitting area on the upper level to take in the panoramic views of the sunset over the wooded ridge. Outdoor lighting brings it alive at night, and for parties you can’t beat the killer sound system!

Renovation of a master bath suite, dressing room and laundry room in a log cabin farm house. Project involved expanding the space to almost three times the original square footage, which resulted in the attractive exterior rock wall becoming a feature interior wall in the bathroom, accenting the stunning copper soaking bathtub. A two tone brick floor in a herringbone pattern compliments the variations of color on the interior rock and log walls. A large picture window near the copper bathtub allows for an unrestricted view to the farmland. The walk in shower walls are porcelain tiles and the floor and seat in the shower are finished with tumbled glass mosaic penny tile. His and hers vanities feature soapstone counters and open shelving for storage. Concrete framed mirrors are set above each vanity and the hand blown glass and concrete pendants compliment one another. The house and swimming pool were designed to take full advantage of the magnificent and idyllic setting. A custom, Nutmeg Round retaining wall was built to raise and level the property and keep the swimming pool close to the home. A vanishing edge runs over 40ft along the full length of the pool and gives the illusion of dropping into the wetlands below. This one is near and dear to my heart. Not only is it in my own backyard, it is also the first remodel project I've gotten to do for myself! This space was previously a detached two car garage in our backyard. Seeing it transform from such a utilitarian, dingy garage to a bright and cheery little retreat was so much fun and so rewarding! This space was slated to be an AirBNB from the start and I knew I wanted to design it for the adventure seeker, the savvy traveler, and those who appreciate all the little design details . My goal was to make a warm and inviting space that our guests would look forward to coming back to after a full day of exploring the city or gorgeous mountains and trails that define the Pacific Northwest. I also wanted to make a few bold choices, like the hunter green kitchen cabinets or patterned tile, because while a lot of people might be too timid to make those choice for their own home, who doesn't love trying it on for a few days?At the end of the day I am so happy with how it all turned out!
