This room was designed for a 14 year old boy - he has a twin sister. They both love the color blue and it was my challenge to add complementing colors that they would like! Lime green seemed to do the trick here and I found this amazing embroidered coverlet from Missoni Home that brought everything together. The back wall is a 3D textured surface which we painted soft grey. We found these fun figurines at Kid Robot in SoHo. Custom aluminum shelving and glossy anthracite lacquer drawer unit with electric blue LED light - game on!

Inspiration for a coastal laundry room remodel in Salt Lake City

This project won in the 2013 Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Housing Excellence Award for Best Urban Renewal Renovation Project. The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house. George Mendel

This room was designed for a 14 year old girl. Little miss knew exactly what she wanted (I think she will be a designer some day!) and bright orange and blue were the colors we settled on. The fabric on the bed is a shimmering electric blue and the Missoni coverlet coordinated the orange shelving beautifully. Crystal shelf, tables and lighting really make this room glamorous!

This nursery has a lovely modern underwater theme. The decals were the beginning inspiration and I just love the playful yet sophisticated motif. The painting is a custom art piece - it turned out just beautiful. I suggested to the artist we wanted a seahorse and the colors and it turned out better than I could have imagined! The little bit of black really grounds the room. Floating shelves and white furniture make the room seem larger than it is. The mirrored closet doors also add dimension - we applied one of the decals to the door which added interest and style. One of my favorite parts of this nursery is the jellyfish mobile. Custom made by yours truly and includes tiny LED lights for a nightlight effect that can be on or off or even twinkling! The tentacles are various colored beads and the "fish net" fabric is strung with tiny silver shells, starfish, seahorses and other treasures from the sea.
