An original turn-of-the-century Craftsman home had lost it original charm in the kitchen and bathroom, both renovated in the 1980s. The clients desired to restore the original look, while still giving the spaces an updated feel. Both rooms were gutted and new materials, fittings and appliances were installed, creating a strong reference to the history of the home, while still moving the house into the 21st century. The antique, crackle paint door for this cupboard is the "artwork framed in function". It is currently used in the kitchen as the pantry cupboard that houses the large cereal boxes, that don't fit in standard kitchen cabinet, as well as many other kitchen items that are not used daily, keeping your counter tops less cluttered!

This flex room can be used as a home office, formal dining space or place for the kids. Dark walls give the space cozy, sophisticated feel. The custom metal strip that allows for pictures and art to hang from give a nod to the old farmhouse design.
