A DEANE client returned in 2022 for an update to their kitchen remodel project from 2006. This incredible transformation was driven by the desire to create a glamorous space for both cooking and entertaining. The frameless cabinetry with a mitered door and satin brass hardware is deliberately understated to highlight the marble. Dramatic and bold, the continuous, book-matched Panda White marble was used throughout the open footprint, including the fireplace surround, to give the space a cohesive feel. The custom, tapered hood, also covered in Panda White is a commanding centerpiece. The expansive space allowed for two waterfall-edge islands with mitered countertops - one for cooking with black-stained oak cabinets for storage and a prep sink, and the second to seat 6 for dining, which replaced the original informal eating area. A tray ceiling with wallpaper detailing elegantly frames both together.
No detail was overlooked in the design process. A coffee station with retractable doors and beverage drawers was situated to graciously welcome guests. A Wolf 60” range, walnut interiors, customized drawer inserts, unlacquered brass finishes and a Galley Workstation elevate this kitchen into a truly sophisticated space.

Modern fixtures mixed with traditional elements elevate this stunning neutral dining room. Leather upholstered chairs for practical dining needs.

We had so much fun designing in this Spanish meets beach style with wonderful clients who travel the world with their 3 sons. The clients had excellent taste and ideas they brought to the table, and were always open to Jamie's suggestions that seemed wildly out of the box at the time. The end result was a stunning mix of traditional, Meditteranean, and updated coastal that reflected the many facets of the clients. The bar area downstairs is a sports lover's dream, while the bright and beachy formal living room upstairs is perfect for book club meetings. One of the son's personal photography is tastefully framed and lines the hallway, and custom art also ensures this home is uniquely and divinely designed just for this lovely family.

Designer’s Note: One of the main project goals was to develop a kitchen space that complimented the homes quality while blending elements of the new kitchen space with the homes eclectic materials.
Japanese Ash veneers were chosen for the main body of the kitchen for it's quite linear appeals. Quarter Sawn White Oak, in a natural finish, was chosen for the island to compliment the dark finished Quarter Sawn Oak floor that runs throughout this home.
The west end of the island, under the Walnut top, is a metal finished wood. This was to speak to the metal wrapped fireplace on the west end of the space.
A massive Walnut Log was sourced to create the 2.5" thick 72" long and 45" wide (at widest end) living edge top for an elevated seating area at the island. This was created from two pieces of solid Walnut, sliced and joined in a book-match configuration.
The homeowner loves the new space!!

This stunning kitchen transformation in St Albans is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can completely reimagine a space.
Our clients wanted to modernise and brighten their kitchen while keeping utility appliances discreetly out of sight.
For this project, we used our EasyTouch handleless cabinetry in a sophisticated pairing of Sand and Taupe, bringing a subtle contrast and warmth to the room.
The base units were finished in Taupe Grey, grounding the space with a sleek, contemporary tone. The overhead cabinets in Sand added a lighter, beige-toned lift that opens up the room beautifully. The result is a refined, layered look that feels both modern and inviting.
Algarve Quartz worktops in Blanco Snow elevate the design with a crisp, polished surface, complemented by a matching quartz splashback behind the hob for a seamless finish.
To maximise both form and function, we extended the peninsular area for additional worktop space and created a special freezer larder unit alongside a stylish wine and coffee niche. Siemens appliances were chosen for their sleek design and advanced performance, which are seamlessly integrated into the layout.
The result is a beautifully streamlined kitchen with hidden functionality, soft tones, and a layout that works perfectly for modern living.

This project design was all about that zen, well-traveled lifestyle. We softened chunky, farmhouse furniture pieces with down-to-earth boho details and lots of layered textures. We stayed within an earthy color palette with hints of cool blue to keep it calming and added lots of soft, natural textures. Most of the final elements we chose feature natural materials with hand-crafted details such as raw marble, iron, wood, wool, cotton, grass, etc. Lush plants and handmade planters are also a focal point in all this room and serve as an elevated feminine counterpoint to the masculine lines of the furniture. The macrame hanging planters add height and visual interest to the corner of the room.

This warm, richly layered living room exudes timeless sophistication. Anchored by a luxurious deep crimson velvet sofa, the space balances bold color with soft neutral tones and natural light. Floor-to-ceiling drapery in cream with red accents frames the windows and elevates the vertical dimension, while a mix of textures—from the plush area rug to the tactile upholstery—adds depth and visual interest. Sleek modern sconces and carefully chosen accessories and art evoke a collected, curated aesthetic. A circular swivel chair in ivory offers cozy contrast and flexibility, complemented by a carved side table and tall lamp. The shiny black coffee table grounds the space and showcases a sophisticated arrangement of books, objets d’art, and fresh florals, infusing the space with both personal character and seasonal freshness. This room effortlessly blends traditional elegance with eclectic styling, designed for both comfort and conversation, reflecting a refined yet inviting sensibility.

A blend of contemporary and modern elements make this living room stand apart.
The new EcoSmart fireplace has self-contained ethanol burners, meaning no gas or electrical utility connections.
We developed the design for the firebox using brushed and polished stainless steel in a multi-dimensional fashion. On the remainder of the fireplace, the maple veneers were made into book-matched sections to create a dramatic compliment to the stainless steel.
The granite hearth was elevated to float across the floor supported by steel in the wall and stainless-steel columns.

This contemporary kitchen design revolves around the timeless elegance of Calacatta marble, which takes center stage with its bold veining, offering a striking contrast to the crisp white cabinetry and sleek stainless steel appliances. The countertops, along with a book-end island, create a luxurious focal point, combining beauty and functionality.
White maple-painted Shaker-style cabinets maintain a clean and classic aesthetic, further elevated by stainless steel bar pulls for a modern touch. A marble backsplash complements the Calacatta surfaces, tying together the overall design with sophistication. The stainless steel hood and built-in refrigerator seamlessly integrate into the space, enhancing the sleek, unified appearance.
The kitchen's black wood floors ground the design with depth and drama, establishing a striking black-and-white theme that is both bold and elegant. The coffered ceiling and crystal chandelier add architectural interest and a touch of opulence. Practical features such as a microwave drawer, pantry cabinet, and gas range enhance functionality without sacrificing style.
Seating options, including barstools around the island and additional peninsula seating, make this kitchen as welcoming as it is stylish. Elements like the light-and-dark palette, small island, and contemporary details showcase the expertise of Kitchens of Diablo, achieving a space that balances warmth, sophistication, and practical design.
