This is an example of a huge traditional front yard stone water fountain landscape in Chicago for summer.

This enchanting garden radiates serenity, with its classic fountain standing as the heart of the design, offering gentle sounds of flowing water. Encircled by meticulously trimmed boxwood borders, the gravel pathways weave a story of discovery, leading the eye through a vibrant tapestry of foxgloves, alstroemerias, and sweet peas. The play of sunlight filters softly through mature trees, casting dappled shadows over the lush, layered beds of perennial blooms.
In the background, a charming white gate beckons, inviting exploration of what lies beyond. The garden exudes both romance and structure, blending the timeless sophistication of European design with the joyful abundance of a cottage garden. A truly peaceful retreat, this space offers an invitation to linger and connect with nature's beauty.

A bluestone walk moves through ornamental onion, groundcover and containers on its way to the back yard. In addition to the walkway, the bluestone also serves as a border down each side of the driveway.

The garden design is heavily influenced by a sense of order and symmetry. Matching potted trees mark the transition from the lawn to the patio.
The patio border features quintessential plantings for any Twin Cities garden: hydrangeas, arborvitae, boxwood, nepeta, astilbe, and a columnar birch in the corner.
The arbors along the garage will eventually fill in with clematis vines – softening the look and adding more color to the empty wall. Chunky hardwood mulch has a great visual texture and will add nutrients to the soil as it breaks down.

Design ideas for a large traditional partial sun front yard brick formal garden in New York.

Curved boxwood borders frame a colorful seasonal planting bed beside a stepping-stone path. The structured layout connects the lawn with layered planting throughout this traditional New Orleans front garden.

Lush plantings surround the pavers that curve and lead to the pool area. Beyond that is the lawn and tucked away in the trees are the accessory building, sport court, and outdoor shower. Throughout the landscape, we mixed formality with touches of whimsy -- spiral topiary boxwood, bright dashes of colorful flowers, contrasting textures. When we teamed up with this young family for a renovation, we created an outdoor space satisfying the needs of all the members of their family.

The boxwood border hedging contains sun loving drought tolerant grasses that move in the wind. The golden tones of the grasses compliment the purple lavender in the centre
