On April 22, 2013, MainStreet Design Build began a 6-month construction project that ended November 1, 2013 with a beautiful 655 square foot addition off the rear of this client's home. The addition included this gorgeous custom kitchen, a large mudroom with a locker for everyone in the house, a brand new laundry room and 3rd car garage. As part of the renovation, a 2nd floor closet was also converted into a full bathroom, attached to a child’s bedroom; the formal living room and dining room were opened up to one another with custom columns that coordinated with existing columns in the family room and kitchen; and the front entry stairwell received a complete re-design. This surf themed beach bunk room is the perfect kid's room. The custom bunkbeds are white paneling with teak rails and ladders. The blue bedding is Martha Stewart in a palms pattern. The walls are recycled teak boatwood and the old surfboard that hangs on the wall was shaped on the North Shore of Kauai. The blue rug is West Elm and the white modern dresser is CB2. The white walls and trim make for a fresh and bright space. The woven blinds compliment the teak detailing and beach aesthetic.

Our featured designer is Laney Reusch of Reusch Interior Design. She created this gorgeous bedroom for a lucky little girl. The highlight of the room is our pink and white castle bunk bed with slide. The castle bunk bed features a pink and white tent over the top bunk and a pink, yellow, and green fabric playhouse surrounding the bottom bed. Of course, the slide attached to the bunk bed is the favorite feature of every child! Across from the castle bunk bed, Ms. Reusch created a special space for arts, crafts, and play time.

When you dad is a professional pitcher, it is pretty easy to decide that you want a baseball themed bedroom. Our client had various pitching grips photographed which are the focal point of this space and will be an heirloom for the family. Stripes in muted tones wrap around the entire room and will be a backdrop as the little boy grows up. A classic iron bed topped with vintage baseball themed bedding add subtle color and pattern. Reading lamps above the bed make bedtime story time easy.

A big boy bedroom for a little boy, this modern take on a safari room combines a contemporary feel with mid century modern furniture. Although the room in small it provides ample play and relaxation and storage spaces, with two large custom build in closets, a secret teepee hideout and a reading/playing area.
