A nook off the Living Room provided a perfect quiet space for study or computer work. Custom Built Cabinets and Desk built in our own Mill shop provided an exact fit to the space for this quaint, but eloquent retreat. Behind the wall is the families main living area– giving the feeling of inclusion without being part of the busyness of activity. Sprayed high gloss paint (Farrow and Ball—Hague Blue) is accented by the brushed gold of the lighting and cabinet hardware. A safe place to enjoy their art collectables and a feature wall that demands attention the minute you enter their home. We love doing featured work that holds special meaning to our homeowners and this project was fun to see come alive.

Subtle tone-on-tone gave this owner a calmer feeling and helped to create more volume and less busyness on this home's exterior. This remodel is a stunning 100-year-old Wayzata home! The home’s history was embraced while giving the home a refreshing new look. Every aspect of this renovation was thoughtfully considered to turn the home into a "DREAM HOME" for generations to enjoy. This bachelor wanted a cozy, warm, minimalist living space that he could come home and unwind to with enough room to host his friends. Earth tone colors were desired and accomplished through shades of cognac browns, textured grays, and green textiles. The huge windows with a view from the 21st floor overlooks the busyness of the city but has the interior space that is calm, cool, and collected with a splash of edginess.

As the warm light of dusk begins to fade, this backyard oasis invites you to come and relax in your favourite spot. The crackling of the wood fire backed by the silky murmur of the sheer decent is sure to carry you mikes away from the busyness of your day.

The uneven back yard was graded into ¬upper and lower levels with an industrial style, concrete wall. Linear pavers lead the garden stroller from place to place alongside a rain garden filled with swaying grasses that spans the side yard and culminates at a gracefully arching pomegranate tree, A bubbling boulder water feature murmurs soothing sounds. A large steel and willow-roof pergola creates a shady space to dine in and chaise lounges and chairs bask in the surrounding shade. The transformation was completed with a bold and biodiverse selection of low water, climate appropriate plants that make the space come alive. branches laden with impossibly red blossoms and fruit.

Pantry addition was made by using a spare closet on the other side of the wall as well as expanding into the kitchen space. Translucent glass allows a separate prep area and ample storage to be used without visual busyness or disruption to the clean, modern look of the main kitchen.
