Sun-bleached wood, white sands, ivory-capped surfs and blue skies. This particular client loved the elements of the ocean and the mountains, so from there, we found inspiration. This home is reminiscent of a memorable family trip along the coast, an aesthetic created with the use of patterns that reflect soothing wind, shimmering sunlight and rippling waves. With waterside views gracing almost every window, we added our signature of understated casual elegance that is as pleasing to the eye as nature’s palette.

Western Red Cedar Channel Rustic 8 inch siding in a select tight knot grade pre-finished in a beautiful Cabot semi-transparent oil stain. Because this is a semi-transparent stain it will not fully cover the natural color of the wood but will allow it to peak through the stain giving it a naturally weathered look but with a darker tint.

Yankee Barn Homes - Cove Hollow is a traditional shingle style from The Hamptons Series. Cedar shingles, diamond mullion windows and 3872 square feet of fantastic space are all featured in this home. The windows are all Anderson 400 Series and the exterior siding is Maibec Shingles with a Cabot stain in Fieldstone. The roof is done in hand split cedar shingles. Windows are all Anderson 400 Series.

Deck was originally stained with Cabot's stain and the previous jobs were never stripped off before staining, so there was a hard "varnish" of stain built up in many areas. The entire deck was sprayed with maxxum's biodegradable deck stripper and washed off, leaving beautiful, bright, clean wood. A top coat of Sikkens SRD stain in Cedar was applied by brush to all surfaces.
