Inspiration for a large contemporary walk-out light wood floor and beige floor basement remodel in Omaha with white walls

This is the first room people see when they come into her home and she wanted it to make a statement but also be warm and inviting. Just before entering the living room was an entry rotunda. We added a round entry table with scrolled iron accents to introduce the Tuscan feel with an elegant light fixture above. Going into the living room, we warmed up the color scheme and added pops of color with a rich purple. Next we brought in some new furniture pieces and even added more chairs for seating. Adding a new custom fireplace mantel to carry in the woodwork from other areas in the house made the fireplace more of a statement piece in the room, and keeping with the style she loved we made some slight changes on the draperies and brought them up to open the windows and give the room more height. Accessories and wall décor helped to polish off the look and our client was so happy with the end result.

The “Shingle Splendor” is located in the private lake community, The Cliffs at Keowee Springs. Luxury, lakeside living, and world-class golf are a few of the benefits to this Upstate South Carolina community. With it’s stone and shingle exterior, this Morgan-Keefe home has the perfect modern cottage flare. The unique shingled roofline extends to the doorline on the front of the home, while the back of the home overlooks Lake Keowee. The cottage feel is extended into the home with unique natural accents and finishes.

They needed new custom cabinetry to accommodate their new 75" flat screen so we worked with the cabinetry and AV vendors to design a unit that would encompass all of the AV plus display and storage extending all the way to the window seat. We designed a new coffered ceiling with lighting in each bay. And built out the fireplace with dimensional tile to the ceiling. The color scheme was kept intentionally monochromatic to show off the different textures with the only color being touches of blue in the pillows and accessories to pick up the art glass.
