FIRECLAY TILE SHOWN
Ogee Drop in Frost

This open concept kitchen by Thompson Remodeling involved removing walls to allow open flow from the kitchen into the living and dining rooms. The star of this kitchen is the expansive island, anchored by gorgeous columns with features that include plenty of work space, built-in bookshelves, and seating for three. Perimeter cabinets are maple with a caramel, chocolate glaze finish and the island cabinetry is alder with chestnut finish. Other design details include quartz countertops and ceramic tile flooring and backsplash.

Echoed by an eye-catching niche in the shower, bright orange and blue bathroom tiles and matching trim from Fireclay Tile give this boho-inspired kids' bath a healthy dose of pep. Sample handmade bathroom tiles at FireclayTile.com. Handmade trim options available.

The galley kitchen is a familiar style in the older homes of southern California, we reconfigured the division of space by moving the wall between the laundry area and the kitchen this allowed us to gain additional need space at low expense. The color scheme was whites and light gray for the contrast.
The unique stone farmhouse sink acts as a centerpiece of the kitchen. the quartz reflection counter and the glass tile backsplash utilizing all the natural light coming in to reflect it all over and creates a light and bright feeling as you walk through the space. To add warmth to the kitchen and tie it to the rest of the house we used ceramic tiles mimicking wood look and texture.

Modern farmhouse kitchen design and remodel for a traditional San Francisco home include simple organic shapes, light colors, and clean details. Our farmhouse style incorporates walnut end-grain butcher block, floating walnut shelving, vintage Wolf range, and curvaceous handmade ceramic tile. Contemporary kitchen elements modernize the farmhouse style with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertop, and cork flooring.

The primary bath features a floating vanity, soaking tub, and glass shower. Ceiling with integrated cove lighting and a linear vanity reinforce the home’s horizontal planes.

This kitchen renovation was driven by a desire to create a space for semi-formal dining in a small eat-in kitchen. By removing an imposing central island with range, and expanding a perimeter dropped soffit, we created a well-proportioned space in which to center a table for gathering. The expanded soffit cleaned up awkward angles at the ceiling and implies a thickness to the wall from which the kitchen is carved out. Small, flexible appliances enable full cooking potential, and modular cabinets provide highly functional features in minimal space. Ebony stained base cabinets recede, white-washed upper cabinets and panels reflect light, large-format ceramic counters and backsplash withstand culinary abuse, European oak flooring and accents provide warmth, and all combine under a ceiling of metallic paper to envelop users and guests in functional comfort.

The photo shows the arrangement above the kitchen countertop using Talavera tiles from the Tono set – white and cobalt blue patchwork by Cerames. These Mexican wall tiles create an artistic, hand-painted pattern, serving as a strong decorative accent. The project beautifully combines white and blue tiles, a rustic vibe, and contemporary aesthetics. This patchwork is an ideal choice as a countertop backsplash – each tile is slightly different, which enhances the uniqueness of the interior.

This bar-area within the kitchen was skillfully designed with custom cubbies for displaying bar ware. A beverage fridge also provides guests with easy access to drinks.
