A transformation of the existing vanilla interior to one that included vibrant saturated tones. Custom lighting and punchy details like a vintage goggle wall with a neon ‘Safety Third’ light, set the tone for the elegant modern, yet playful home. Integrating a mix of patterns, colors and textures throughout that co-exist with the clients’ art collection to create an approachable and liveable space.

When our long-time clients, decidedly urban dwellers, de-camped from the city to the suburbs in 2019, we helped them remake their “too-traditional” new house into a home that better fit their style. A recently-completed house by a developer, we set-out from day one to sprinkle their preferred contemporary, more-urban-than-suburban style throughout the spaces. All without major architectural changes. We changed all the decorative lighting and doors throughout the home to allow the architecture to better align with their style. The home is now layered with clean-lines, modern fabrics, vibrant colors, and contemporary art. The result is the perfect coexistence of contemporary and traditional – without letting either feel out of place.

Our clients asked us to breathe new life into a dark and chopped up 1990’s home, that had a solid shell but a dysfunctional floor plan and dated finishes. We took down all the walls and created an open concept, sunny plan where all the public social spaces connected. We added a Dutch front door and created both a foyer and proper mud-room for the first time, so guests now had a sense of arrival and a place to hang their jackets. The odd dated kitchen that was the heart of the home was rebuilt from scratch with a simple white and blue palette. We opened up the south wall of the main floor with large windows and doors to help BBQ’s and parties flow from inside to the patio. The sagging and faded wrap-around porch was rebuilt from scratch. We re-arranged the interior spaces to create a dream kid’s playroom packed with organized storage and just far enough away from the grown-ups so that everyone can co-exist peacefully. We redid the finishes & fixtures throughout, and opened up the staircase to be an elegant path through this 4 storey house.

Amber’s homes are meant to be lived in. While the look may be reminiscent of an older time, the feel is relaxed, cozy and convenient. We believe elegance can coexist with comfort and can adapt the neoclassical look to meet modern-day demands. All mechanicals are modern and state-of-the-art but are incorporated into the esthetic without overcoming it.
As with our exteriors, we try to use as much vintage material as possible and call upon our extensive network of vendors to unearth distinctive pieces: plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, fireplaces, old beams dredged from bogs, housing hardware. When actual period pieces are not available, we contract with peerless craftsmen who can fashion superb facsimiles. Our work is distinguished by attention to detail.

Nestled along South Boulder Creek with sweeping Flatirons views, Creekside is a custom modern mountain home shaped by one guiding principle: dissolve the boundary between light, landscape, and daily living. From the first conversations, the project began not with a floor plan, but with the land itself—carefully evaluating a rare, delicate site and letting its rhythms, constraints, and beauty set the tone for every decision.
Designed for a couple building their forever home in the Boulder foothills, the residence balances crisp modernity with the warmth and honesty of natural materials. Expansive glazing and clean lines are grounded by timber, stone, and tactile finishes—quietly luxurious rather than showy. The clients had spent years “chasing the light” from home to home; here, that pursuit became something more intentional. Instead of chasing the sun, the architecture invites sunlight to travel through the house across the day and seasons.
Light is treated as a living element, orchestrated to create moments of surprise and calm. An interior window captures southern exposure at the upper level, guiding it through the loft and filtering it into the northern living room below—an atmospheric shift that changes hour by hour. A glass stair bridge adds levitation and clarity, linking front and back, public and private. Beneath it, a serene Zen garden winds under floating stairs, creating a quiet pause in the home’s circulation.
Facing the creek, the home opens into a composition of glass and crisp geometry, framing moving water and long bands of daylight. Peaked roofs, timber beams, and stone cladding nod to regional vernacular, rooting the modern form in its mountain context.
Set beside a sensitive riparian corridor, Creekside demanded exceptional care, including meticulous deconstruction of an existing structure with 94% landfill diversion. Performance was treated as a design feature: HERS 4, ENERGY STAR certification, a 15.8 kWh solar array, 30 kW battery backup, 1 ACH air-sealed construction, and air-source heat pumps—proof that stewardship and comfort can coexist beautifully.

Modern Media Lounge Meets Custom Library Charm
This multifunctional media lounge blends sleek, modern design with cozy comfort. A custom-built entertainment wall anchors the room with floor-to-ceiling shelving, shaker-style cabinetry, and a warm wood countertop—perfect for displaying curated books, framed photos, and decor. The minimalist black ceiling fan and plush gray sectional keep the space feeling relaxed yet refined. A subtle kids' corner with a white play table and whimsical light-up trees adds a playful touch.
Just beyond the lounge, a hallway library connects the space with a wall of built-in bookcases, creating a reader’s retreat that feels both bright and intimate thanks to natural light and white-on-white finishes. Whether you're catching up on a show or settling into a new novel, this home proves functionality and style can coexist beautifully.

It is a distribution designed for the possible coexistence of two people who maintain a spatial freedom, giving this reason for the planning of two bedrooms completely separated by a walkway. Both bedrooms have beds of 140cm x 200cm, wardrobes, desk and independent windows.
As we mentioned, the bedrooms are separated by a walkway that has been conditioned as a reading space, it should also be noted that from that point we have a visual control of the space.
On the ground floor, we can see that the dead space of the stairs has been used as a kitchen where we have the burners, the oven and the odor extractor. We also have the rest of the public spaces such as the living room, the dining room, the toilet and the laundry room.
Some of the furniture presented in this flat renovation are products of Hbellorin thus giving a touch of exclusivity to the apartment.
