Adding double faucets in a wall mounted sink to this guest bathroom is such a fun way for the kids to brush their teeth. Keeping the walls white and adding neutral tile and finishes makes the room feel fresh and clean.

Our homeowners purchased this home for its excellent location and great bones. They were desirous of returning it to the era of it’s time while updating and modernizing it with the elegance it deserved. To add to our challenges, they were living out of the country during our design and renovation, making for great communications utilizing modern technology to ensure we could deliver what they hoped to achieve. We opened some space in the kitchen to create an updated and more functional kitchen for this active family, relocating appliances for efficiency, adding an island and relocating a chimney. We had structural challenges with the sagging hardwood floors, which required us to reframe floor systems, and while we were at it, we antique finished the hardwoods reminiscent of the 1940’s. We added wainscoting in the dining room and entry stair hallway to enhance the old-world look and added some arched openings to match other areas of the home. We also added custom moldings to the fireplace wall to allow it to shine as a focal point in the space, utilizing restored antique light fixtures. The finished result is stunning and truly honors the integrity of the original time period of this home.

These homeowners came to us seeking a kitchen remodel that would deliver an updated look and increase the kitchen’s overall functionality. They had a clear vision of what they wanted, and we loved working with them to make the transformation a reality. A change that instantly made the kitchen feel more contemporary was bringing the cabinets up to the ceiling. We chose a tranquil gray for the island cabinetry to add depth to the overall white aesthetic and classic shaker cabinets. A white backsplash tile and some glass front cabinets make the space feel even lighter and brighter. The countertop is a sophisticated white quartz with gray veining. One complaint the owner had about their original kitchen was the lack of storage space for pots and pans. To address this, we incorporated large, heavy-duty drawers on either side of the cooktop. This is the optimal placement for usage and easily brings all the cookware into view, rather than being lost in a deep cabinet. One handy feature they now enjoy is a custom charging drawer at the end of the island which provides easy access to frequently used electronics without cluttering the countertop. Below the drawer is open shelving that adds charming visual interest and provides the ideal spot to store cookbooks. Even without drastic layout changes, the transformation is stunning! The contrast between the light cabinets and the hardwood floor is eye-catching without being overly dramatic and the simple hardware and fixtures give it a fresh look. This kitchen is one that is sure to be loved for years to come.

After building their first home this Bloomfield couple didn't have any immediate plans on building another until they saw this perfect property for sale. It didn't take them long to make the decision on purchasing it and moving forward with another building project. With the wife working from home it allowed them to become the general contractor for this project. It was a lot of work and a lot of decision making but they are absolutely in love with their new home. This space is perfect for entertaining! When the owners originally moved in, this deck was not here. There were several steps down from the kitchen door, and the stone slabs were a toe-stubbing minefield. We added the deck and designed it perfectly for entertaining. Since we had several large pine trees removed from the property, we increased sun exposure creating a need for more shade. We had this awning custom made by PJ Canvas in Santa Rosa, CA. The awning tucks neatly under the roof of the house during the rainy months.

On this project, our aim was to maximize storage and organization in the pantry for this family of five. This family previously had the common complaint that their pantry was always message and that they could never find what they wanted. To address this, we created provided a large amount of shelving, including key sections that slide out to provide better access to the items in the back. White melamine was used to mange cost and create a clean look.

The materials in the room are soothing and give a nice vintage vibe in keeping with the rest of the home. We completed a kitchen remodel for this client a few years’ ago and were delighted when she contacted us for help with her master bath! The bathroom was fine but was lacking in interesting design elements, and the shower was very small. We started by eliminating the shower curb which allowed us to enlarge the footprint of the shower all the way to the edge of the bathtub, creating a modified wet room. The shower is pitched toward a linear drain so the water stays in the shower. A glass divider allows for the light from the window to expand into the room, while a freestanding tub adds a spa like feel. The radiator was removed and both heated flooring and a towel warmer were added to provide heat. Since the unit is on the top floor in a multi-unit building it shares some of the heat from the floors below, so this was a great solution for the space. The custom vanity includes a spot for storing styling tools and a new built in linen cabinet provides plenty of the storage. The doors at the top of the linen cabinet open to stow away towels and other personal care products, and are lighted to ensure everything is easy to find. The doors below are false doors that disguise a hidden storage area. The hidden storage area features a custom litterbox pull out for the homeowner’s cat! Her kitty enters through the cutout, and the pull out drawer allows for easy clean ups. The materials in the room – white and gray marble, charcoal blue cabinetry and gold accents – have a vintage vibe in keeping with the rest of the home. Polished nickel fixtures and hardware add sparkle, while colorful artwork adds some life to the space.

This Columbia, Missouri home’s master bathroom was a full gut remodel. Dimensions In Wood’s expert team handled everything including plumbing, electrical, tile work, cabinets, and more! Electric, Heated Tile Floor Starting at the bottom, this beautiful bathroom sports electrical radiant, in-floor heating beneath the wood styled non-slip tile. The durable smooth finish is very easy to clean and will stand up to daily use without complaint. Two new faucets in black match the black hardware adorning Bridgewood factory cabinets. We joined forces with JHL Design’s Holly Freres and Liz Morgan to transform a dark and dated Pearl District penthouse into an elegant and timeless home. The space was designed with European metropolitan interiors in mind, giving it the “Parisian Modern” look the clients desired. The team replaced cherry casework and red and ochre walls with clean white and neutral shades to brighten the space. The new applied wood paneling serves as an interesting architectural detail while modern fixtures and furniture keep it from feeling too traditional. The project also included new casework, new wood floors and carpet, new terrazzo countertops, new vanity and plumbing fixtures, and reworked cabinetry in the kitchen and pantry.
