We remodeled this lovely 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 3,300 sq. home in Arcadia. This beautiful home was built in the 1990s and has gone through various remodeling phases over the years. We now gave this home a unified new fresh modern look with a cozy feeling. We reconfigured several parts of the home according to our client’s preference. The entire house got a brand net of state-of-the-art Milgard windows. On the first floor, we remodeled the main staircase of the home, demolishing the wet bar and old staircase flooring and railing. The fireplace in the living room receives brand new classic marble tiles. We removed and demolished all of the roman columns that were placed in several parts of the home. The entire first floor, approximately 1,300 sq of the home, received brand new white oak luxury flooring. The dining room has a brand new custom chandelier and a beautiful geometric wallpaper with shiny accents. We reconfigured the main 17-staircase of the home by demolishing the old wooden staircase with a new one. The new 17-staircase has a custom closet, white oak flooring, and beige carpet, with black ½ contemporary iron balusters. We also create a brand new closet in the landing hall of the second floor. On the second floor, we remodeled 4 bedrooms by installing new carpets, windows, and custom closets. We remodeled 3 bathrooms with new tiles, flooring, shower stalls, countertops, and vanity mirrors. The master bathroom has a brand new freestanding tub, a shower stall with new tiles, a beautiful modern vanity, and stone flooring tiles. We also installed built a custom walk-in closet with new shelves, drawers, racks, and cubbies.Each room received a brand new fresh coat of paint.

This once closed-in kitchen has become a gorgeous and bright open-concept space. To let in plenty of natural light from the adjacent dining and living room, we first knocked down a wall and relocated the kitchen stove. This new and improved open floor plan gave way to a stunning design, perfect for entertaining! Other features included an upgraded electrical service, completely new cabinets, new tile flooring, new cabinets, new bar pulls, new recessed lights, and a new pendant light. After. Field-built benches along the left hand side of the Pantry provide plenty of storage for pool equipment and other items. 6Square “Itasca” cabinetry in “White Cloud” provides additional storage space. A second refrigerator was also added along with open shelving. The family dogs weren’t forgotten about with room for 2 dog beds under the countertop.

In the basement we added COREtec laminate wood flooring and again opened up a few rooms to create an open, bright entertainment area. We also whitewashed the brick around the fireplace and added new French doors to the outside. These new doors let in so much natural light that you don’t feel like you are in a basement at all! We tore down the walls between four rooms to create this great room in Villanova, PA. And what a difference it makes! This bright space is perfect for everyday living and entertaining family and friends as the kitchen, eating and living areas flow seamlessly. With red oak flooring throughout, we used white and light gray materials and crown moulding to give this large space a cohesive yet open feel. We added wainscoting to the steel post columns. Other projects in this house included installing red oak flooring throughout the first floor, refinishing the main staircase, building new stairs into the basement, installing new basement flooring and opening the basement rooms to create another entertainment area. Inspiration for a cottage home design remodel in Chicago

Harmonized on the edge of a tidal marsh of Bohicket Creek on Johns Island, a house was built for indoor-outdoor living. Constructed within a tight budget, architectural poetics were sought through integrated design, with the use of kebony shiplap siding, corrugated metal, and exposed wood rafters. The sensitive landscape drove a design concept that floats above the forest floor and blends in with the habitat of the marsh edge. There was consideration for detail and simple construction methods, through the use of modern interior and exterior trim with minimal details. The raw, simple construction methods and materials were used to infuse the spirit of boat docks and agricultural structures of Johns Island, SC with the use of heavy timber wood piles and knotty pine siding and rain screen. The interior details are simple and dramatic with a waterfall island anchoring the open floor plan and book matched birch veneer wood doors throughout.

When the clients first contacted us about their 1926 home, they stated "We want to make better use of the space and open it up a little. This seems right up your alley." That's right...we live on that alley, we love that alley! Terah Beth designed a few schemes ranging from leaving all walls in place... to removing all walls that separated the dining, living, and the back nook from the kitchen. The clients decided to go big and knock 'em all down! This 'open concept' scheme created an airy and zen-like space filled with beautiful custom cabinetry with walnut accents including a huge peninsula countertop, floating shelves and range hood accent band.
