This is a traditional style helical staircase design spanning 5 floors of a totally refurbished Mayfair town house. The client commissioned a particularly refined staircase specification to compliment the opulent interior. Details included a solid Wenge handrail polished with a dark satin oil; a decorative mild steel balustrade with bespoke design, fabricated in mild steel and finished with a custom paint colour; polished Italian marble was used for both treads and risers which were illuminated with subtle feature lighting. Elite Metalcraft also provided an especially challenging plaster soffit which linked the curving helical stringer to the facetted stairwell walls.

For the deck’s surface and benches, the clients selected low-maintenance capped PVC decking from TimberTech AZEK’s Vintage collection in their weathered teak color. We rebuilt the twin pergolas – including posts, beams, slats and trusses – with cedar and applied a solid-color custom stain on all of the wood surfaces. We were able to retain the original deck railings, and we didn’t need to modify the roof structure for this project.

In this living room, the client wanted to work around her own furniture and just pull it all together for her. We added the drapes, rug, book shelf in the corner, and had the custom component cabinet build under the tv.

This spectacular straight staircase bridges past and present in an award-winning Georgetown townhouse transformation. Designed to preserve a sense of history within a sleek modern space, it features a striking contrast between stark white balusters, newels, and risers and a bold black handrail. This dramatic interplay of light and dark echoes throughout the rest of the townhouse, creating visual continuity across multiple levels. Natural wood treads ground the design, adding warmth and an organic element that softens the contemporary palette while honoring the home's historical roots.
