Avid entertainers who often host dinner parties and family events, want to go beyond simply having a functional and entertaining kitchen. The clients wish to give it a striking presence that encourages guests to gather and converse with one another. In consideration of this, the designer chose a warm neutral colour palette with darker tones to create an inviting and engaging environment.
The stainless-steel hood and upper cabinetry on the expanse of one wall highlights the activity within
the area and calls people to come together and cook. This detail becomes a bold accent within the space as the stainless steel is carried down onto the first set of drawers and on the appliances. The use of this industrial finish entices visitors to enter the kitchen.

Objective:
This couple was tired of the old brick look of their family room and its embedded fireplace.
They wanted to uplift the entire room, with better lighting, updated built ins and new gas log fireplace.
Challenges:
It was not an easy task to get rid of all masonry and brick wall.
Gas lines and powder line were quite distance away and the family room floor was a concrete slab.
Design solutions:
It was important for the couple to create an optional separation between the family room and the kitchen for times that she is having her book club gang over and husband wanted to watch his sporting events.
Part of the wall between kitchen and family room was taken by a closet.
We have removed that entire wall and implemented a 6” wide Barn door for a partial solution to their problem.
New wiring for light and cable wires were running into the old masonry wall.
Gas line gave the old wood burning fireplace and new life.
Custom built in cabinetry was placed in place old masonry wall.
A new stone hearth and surround wrapped around the new fireplace.
New hardwood wide plank flooring gave this family room warmth.
New recess lighting has offered a much brighter room.
Outcome:
He gets to enjoy his favorite football team beat up the rebels while she gets to have her tea party around the kitchen table.
And in all other occasions they get to cuddle by the flames of a new fireplace.

Backyard lawn and retaining wall and driveway removed to create a new landscape with flowering plants and a zen like feeling.

The room also features a large projection screen for movie screenings and video games, making it a hub for family gatherings and social events. This home remodel is a celebration of curves and light. Starting from humble beginnings as a basic builder ranch style house, the design challenge was maximizing natural light throughout and providing the unique contemporary style the client’s craved.
The Entry offers a spectacular first impression and sets the tone with a large skylight and an illuminated curved wall covered in a wavy pattern Porcelanosa tile.
The chic entertaining kitchen was designed to celebrate a public lifestyle and plenty of entertaining. Celebrating height with a robust amount of interior architectural details, this dynamic kitchen still gives one that cozy feeling of home sweet home. The large “L” shaped island accommodates 7 for seating. Large pendants over the kitchen table and sink provide additional task lighting and whimsy. The Dekton “puzzle” countertop connection was designed to aid the transition between the two color countertops and is one of the homeowner’s favorite details. The built-in bistro table provides additional seating and flows easily into the Living Room.
A curved wall in the Living Room showcases a contemporary linear fireplace and tv which is tucked away in a niche. Placing the fireplace and furniture arrangement at an angle allowed for more natural walkway areas that communicated with the exterior doors and the kitchen working areas.
The dining room’s open plan is perfect for small groups and expands easily for larger events. Raising the ceiling created visual interest and bringing the pop of teal from the Kitchen cabinets ties the space together. A built-in buffet provides ample storage and display.
The Sitting Room (also called the Piano room for its previous life as such) is adjacent to the Kitchen and allows for easy conversation between chef and guests. It captures the homeowner’s chic sense of style and joie de vivre.

Set on Camelback Country Club with sweeping views to the golf course and surrounding peaks—Camelback, Piestewa, and Mummy Mountain—this Paradise Valley estate was designed with one clear priority: make the view the main event. Every line of the pool and landscape plan was meticulously composed to pull your eye outward, enhance the architecture, and create an atmosphere that feels singular to this property.
The backyard is anchored by a custom resort-style pool and spa composition that reads like a modern water courtyard—clean geometry, natural stone surfaces, and layered water movement. Bubblers and deck jets add sound and sparkle without interrupting sightlines, while a low-profile fire element and lawn panels soften the hardscape and keep the space feeling livable, not just a showpiece.
Beyond the resort core, the property expands into an estate-scale recreation zone, including a full sport court framed in stone paving, structured planting beds, and evening lighting that keeps the grounds active after sunset. The perimeter is finished with privacy hedging and layered plantings—lush, controlled, and intentionally quiet—so the mountains and fairways remain the star.
This home set a record-breaking sale, closing $1M higher than any home north of DoubleTree, and it sold in a single day. The developer, builder, and buyer all echoed the same thing: the pool and landscape sold the home, and then the record number followed. It’s the kind of project that proves what we believe: when outdoor living is designed at the highest level, it doesn’t just complement a home—it defines it.

Just because it's an office, doesn't mean it has to feel cold and sterile.
This stunning loft-style space in Ottawa's Byward Market was the perfect canvas to transform into a comfortable, relaxed yet sophisticated space for boutique public affairs firm Compass Rose. The clients wanted a refreshed space that reflected the growing company's culture and values.
The company's brand colours, including forest green, copper, brown, black and white are incorporated throughout all the furnishings and decor, including the stunning mural wall in a private office that we created from a storage closet. The wall art includes scenes depicting the brand story, as well imagery symbolic of the work done in this space.
We also added an airy boardroom that incorporates floor-to-ceiling windows to avoid disrupting the flow of the open concept space. The result is a stunning and relaxing atmosphere that fosters creativity, collaboration and, of course, a backdrop for the amazing social events this firm is known for.

We were contacted in the early spring to help this client come up with a functional outdoor living space. We created multiple rooms, off the back doors is the outdoor kitchen complete with ample prep and cooking space as well as space to sit, eat and mingle. The pergola completes and defines the outdoor living room with the lighting, ceiling fan, drapes and furniture. On the opposite side is the lounge area with the fire feature where everyone can hang out, chill and keep warm on the chilly nights. The central part of the patio is the main dinning area and can also be used for high tops for larger events and gatherings. The lighting provides the finishing touch to this wonderful project.

The owners of this beautiful home came to us looking for help creating an outdoor living space that would complement their empty nester lifestyle. Together we designed a swimming pool that would provide hours of fun for their grandchildren and an elegant backdrop for the many grown-up events they love hosting at their home. The pool features an expansive, bluestone deck to give young swimmers and parents plenty of space to move around, large shallow end steps to make getting in and out a little easier, and a raised spa for evening and late season use. Over-water jets and colored LED lights are conversation starters for children and adults alike.
