My inspiration arose from contemplating the dichotomy between the perception of women as fragile, delicate creatures, and the reality that most women are defined by resiliency and steely resolve. I employ a juxtaposition of extremes such as lightness and gravity, suppleness and intransigence, to convey feminine sensibilities. Crafted of steel and embellished with flourishes of wire mesh, screening, cut-outs and bits of found objects, the dresses are at once both elegant and imposing. I like the duplicitous nature of steel which can be manipulated to appear feminine and soft while actually maintaining its strength and rigidity—an expression in contrasts and complements.” -Donna McCullough

Indulge in creature comforts. A couch is fundamental in a family room, so Ferrer started by replacing the old sofa and loveseat with a bright, comfortable contemporary sectional with a lounger sidecar from Article. Ferrer also found beautifully floral-patterned side chairs and marble top sofa tables by La-Z-y Boy, gray lacquered BluDot Strut Square coffee table, a ghost chair from InStyleModern, two Safavieh benches from Wayfair for extra seating, a gold geometric gardening stool by IMAX to serve as an end table, and a modern IKEA large-shade floor lamp. Other textile pieces included Sanela room darkening draperies in light turquoise and faux skin rugs for the stools from IKEA, a Safavieh Hand Woven Natural Kilim Ivory Wool Rug and comfort padding from Overstock, Roman Shades by Pottery Barn, and fabric panels for the Cabinet Tronix lift cabinet, featuring Robert Allen fabric in Tiny Pebbles Parchment design. To help brighten the room when it was not in use for projection viewing, Ferrer mounted two bright satin brass Robert Sonneman Palo Wall Sconces, which freed up space where floor lamps once stood.

The existing primary bathroom was simply outdated. The goal was to create an oasis – a place of serenity, privacy and renewal. This is where the day begins. A thoughtful design would need to accommodate the rigueurs and requirements of personal care rituals and, of course, storage for all the accoutrements involved. The homeowners also wanted two commode rooms. Design challenges: -Could not move the window or rework anything on the exterior -Could not take too much width from the tub -Make everything hidden but easily accessible -Design solutions and new creature comforts: --His and her sinks with pull-out waste ---Pull-out hair accessory cabinet with an outlet inside ---Makeup area ---Ample of storage along back wall for everyday work clothes and hampers ---A tub with air jets ---Spa-like steam shower with body sprays ---Two DTV-control pads to start and adjust the shower without getting wet ---Heated floor, shower floor and bench ---Recessed cabinet with an appliance garage to hide the electric toothbrushes and provide storage for everyday toiletries ---Frosted shower privacy window This new primary bathroom is part of a larger remodeling project that also involved a new primary suite closet, an additional bathroom and a large kitchen.

As a nod to the mountain location, we custom designed this woodland creature print and made a roman shade with a curved detail on the bottom to give the space character. It was time for a major upgrade from an older kitchen in this home to reflect more closely the customers lifestyle. Creature comforts such as a built in coffee maker, new high output icemaker, beverage fridge, prep sink, built in fridge and dishwasher, etc. all figured into the new design. We started by installing new 24 x 48 porcelain floor tiles, followed by new, Benjamin Moore painted, Canadian Manufactured cabinetry. New quartz countertops and backsplash were then added to elevate the clean, minimalistic look. We also used wood accents to create some additional interest in the new space as well as a new display/ storage area beside the table. The end result is a new level of beautiful!
