The master ensuite screams pure luxury. To create a timeless look soft white tones with a mix soft grey were incorporated. For a really clean feel, we introduced large 24"x24" tiles in the shower that continued behind the free standing tub. The double sink vanity offers plenty of storage and counter space. In this transitional farmhouse in West Chester, PA, we renovated the kitchen and family room, and installed new flooring and custom millwork throughout the entire first floor. This chic tuxedo kitchen has white cabinetry, white quartz counters, a black island, soft gold/honed gold pulls and a French door wall oven. The family room’s built in shelving provides extra storage. The shiplap accent wall creates a focal point around the white Carrera marble surround fireplace. The first floor features 8-in reclaimed white oak flooring (which matches the open shelving in the kitchen!) that ties the main living areas together. The entryway leads into the home with soft muted colors on the walls and original wainscot. The unfinished substrate of the staircase had been built originally with incorrect measurements. The stairs had to be completely deconstructed and rebuilt from the ground up. New stair risers and treads coordinate with decorative metal spindles and banisters. 2B is at once a tranquil art gallery and a comfortable residence; white walls as a simple canvas that bears the quiet sophistication of hovering sculptures and framed compositions of brushstrokes and purposeful blots. Exposed structural concrete and sliding panels of timber begin to define the ephemeral lightness and contain the sideboard that complements the living space, just as the bay windows frame the dynamic mountainous scenes beyond. Natural light afforded by the bays begins to change in timbre and so the sculptural shadows begin to dance to the soft bending pentatonic melodies by the lady of the house - the artiste in residence. - www.0932.am Type . The shape of the angled porch-roof, sets the tone for a truly modern entryway. This protective covering makes a dramatic statement, as it hovers over the front door. The blue-stone terrace conveys even more interest, as it gradually moves upward, morphing into steps, until it reaches the porch. Porch Detail The multicolored tan stone, used for the risers and retaining walls, is proportionally carried around the base of the house. Horizontal sustainable-fiber cement board replaces the original vertical wood siding, and widens the appearance of the facade. The color scheme — blue-grey siding, cherry-wood door and roof underside, and varied shades of tan and blue stone — is complimented by the crisp-contrasting black accents of the thin-round metal columns, railing, window sashes, and the roof fascia board and gutters. This project is a stunning example of an exterior, that is both asymmetrical and symmetrical. Prior to the renovation, the house had a bland 1970s exterior. Pamela's living space is modern, elegant and a little bit Zen. Our job was to bring in a layer of comfy romance, so I focused on furnishing the space with mushy comfort, pure white slipcovers, warm woods, breezy linens and beautiful flowers, while respecting the modern edges. We used soft, white-linen-covered furniture, flowing linen gauze curtains to divide up the open plan spaces, flowers, of course, and a chandelier to add twinkle. In her previous home, Pamela's collection of beautiful books were displayed on open shelves in a chaotic but organized way, but the bookshelves did not translate and so we housed the entire collection in cabinets on either side of the fireplace behind heavy doors of reclaimed wood. The floaty, feminine painting of tutus over the fireplace actually has an edge to it, as it is built up from layers of plaster and has a cement like texture. Photo Credit: Amy Neunsinger

Formal dining room: This light-drenched dining room in suburban New Jersery was transformed into a serene and comfortable space, with both luxurious elements and livability for families. Moody grasscloth wallpaper lines the entire room above the wainscoting and two aged brass lantern pendants line up with the tall windows. We added linen drapery for softness with stylish wood cube finials to coordinate with the wood of the farmhouse table and chairs. We chose a distressed wood dining table with a soft texture to will hide blemishes over time, as this is a family-family space. We kept the space neutral in tone to both allow for vibrant tablescapes during large family gatherings, and to let the many textures create visual depth. Boxford, MA kitchen renovation designed by north of Boston kitchen design showroom Heartwood Kitchens. This kitchen includes white painted cabinetry with a glaze and dark wood island. Heartwood included a large, deep boxed out window on the window wall to brighten up the kitchen.
