“After discussions with Zieba about design ideas and budgets we agreed to hire them to come up with create designs and they came back with three options. Ultimately, we merged some of the ideas from each of the options and came up with our design. With the design completed Zieba submitted a bid that was in line with our budget, and we hired them for the construction which was started in the beginning of September and scheduled for completion 4 months later. The construction was completed on time and on budget & we are thrilled with the changes made to our home. This 1,000ft² recording and production studio, built in 2021 for producer couple Latifah Alattas and Lucas Morton, was designed as a fully custom creative environment that supports writing, mixing, and collaboration at the highest level. Both Latifah and Lucas are multi-instrumentalists, engineers, and mixers, and the studio reflects the full range of their workflows—visually inspiring, technically precise, and intuitive in every room. The facility was built from the ground up with a strong emphasis on architectural acoustics and plug-and-play connectivity. The layout includes two Control Rooms, multiple isolation booths, and shared common spaces, all tied together with seamless audio integration. No matter where you are in the studio, routing, monitoring, and communication remain effortless and consistent. Behind the aesthetic, the acoustic design is exceptionally robust. Six independent floating-floor systems support the suites, ensuring each room operates with minimal sound transmission. Tailored sound-reducing wall assemblies, full-lite doors, engineered window systems, and intentional treatment plans deliver clarity, isolation, and precision for tracking and mixing. Each space is mechanically decoupled, allowing multiple rooms to run simultaneously without compromise. For monitoring, both Latifah and Lucas chose Genelec “The Ones” series monitors with GLM calibration to ensure accurate translation and consistency across the entire facility. Natural light and a warm, welcoming aesthetic anchor the visual identity of the studio, reflecting the creative energy and personality of its owners. The result is a highly functional, beautifully crafted space where ideas can move freely and production can happen without limitations.

Key wishes: solar for green energy, a rooftop deck with mountain sights, and big doors that open rooms to the outdoors. A worn-out old house blocked the vision, so we removed it to build fresh. This opened up the lot for a design that's efficient and fits today's needs, turning challenges into a better way to live. The concept focuses on clean, flowing lines – stone bases with sloped roofs, steel railings, and a kitchen that's simple yet elegant. Glass walls slide away to connect inside with a shaded deck, making everything feel expansive. We applied modern builds for strength and style, with solar panels cutting energy use and costs. It's made to last, blending beauty with real-world toughness. Spacious and open, with four bedrooms and baths for comfort. The main floor links living, kitchen, and deck seamlessly, while upstairs adds more outdoor space for views and relaxation. Since 2015, this home has been a family favorite, mixing sustainability, convenience, and charm. It's a place that enhances daily joy, with thoughtful design that feels right at home in Colorado.

Behind the scenes of this Cherry Hills Village remodel, our team worked meticulously to highlight the natural beauty of Crystallo Quartzite while balancing warmth and contemporary minimalism. The kitchen became the heart of the project, with a bookmatched Crystallo Quartzite waterfall island that required precision templating and seamless mitered edges to create a floating stone appearance. We paired it with soft oak cabinetry and integrated appliances to keep the space feeling open and clean, letting the quartzite’s subtle veining take center stage. In the living room, the double-height ceilings and expansive windows brought in Colorado’s natural light, while the sleek black fireplace and designer lighting created a sophisticated focal point. We carefully coordinated stone details with the design team to ensure flow and cohesion throughout. The bathroom’s backlit onyx steam shower was a technical feat, requiring custom support and LED installation to achieve an even glow that transforms the space into a spa retreat. Every tile cut and seam placement was strategized to align the onyx’s natural patterns, making the steam shower both functional and a piece of art. Throughout this project, we prioritized craftsmanship, precision, and clear communication with the homeowners, designers, and trades. From slab selection to the final polish, each detail was approached with intention to bring this refined, organic modern home to life.
