INTERIOR DESIGNER JENNIFER CORREDOR designs from natural instincts, demonstrating an uncanny knack to synthesize ideas to align perfectly with her clients — an attribute that made her collaboration with homeowner Steve Leibowitz, a transplanted West Coast resident (via South Africa and England) who desired an explosion of color, a solid match. For the Jamaican-born designer, this request was a spontaneous inclination.
The 2,900-square-foot condominium, featuring two bed-rooms high up in one of Williams Island’s luxurious towers in Aventura, Fla., is an open expanse of modern-style furnishings, contemporary textures, innovative lighting and an array of color that fulfills one of Leibowitz’s chief requirements “to have a club-like environment to entertain friends,” he says……

This custom villa is a thoughtfully designed home that blends warmth, functionality, and refined elegance, creating the perfect haven for a client with a large, frequently visiting family. Every detail was crafted to provide a sense of comfort and connection while maintaining the sophistication of a modern villa. The design emphasizes open-plan living, efficient use of space, and a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor areas.
The heart of the home is the inviting kitchen, featuring timeless cabinetry, quartz countertops, and a spacious island that encourages gathering and conversation. A large walk-in pantry provides both convenience and organization for daily living and entertaining. The adjacent great room combines natural textures, a stone fireplace, and custom built-ins to create a cozy yet elevated atmosphere. Oversized windows bring in abundant natural light and frame views of the landscaped patio and power-screened porch—an outdoor living space ideal for relaxation and hosting guests.
This villa offers three full bathrooms and three bedrooms, each designed with comfort and privacy in mind. The master suite serves as a serene retreat with elegant finishes and a spa-inspired bathroom. The home’s study, designed for an avid reader, features custom built-in shelving with a rolling library ladder, combining beauty and purpose in one personalized space.
Downstairs, the Ohio State–themed recreation room adds a distinctive touch of personality and fun. Complete with a bold red wet bar, game table, and entertainment space, this area captures the spirit of the homeowner’s passion and provides the perfect spot for family gatherings and game days.
Beyond its craftsmanship and design, this home demonstrates exceptional energy efficiency. The homeowners proudly share that their energy bills are less than half the cost of their previous home—despite this villa being significantly larger. This achievement reflects not only superior construction techniques and insulation practices but also the thoughtful integration of energy-smart materials and systems throughout the build.
Every element of this home—from the crown moldings and custom cabinetry to the efficient mechanical systems—was designed to balance comfort, performance, and timeless style. The result is a warm, inviting, and remarkably efficient villa that embodies family-friendly living without compromise.

This modern bathroom remodel combines crisp white shaker cabinetry with a bold black quartz countertop to create a clean and contemporary contrast.
The double vanity features soft-close drawers and solid wood dovetail construction, offering long-term durability and refined craftsmanship. Matte black hardware and faucets introduce a modern edge while maintaining a cohesive minimalist palette.
The shower and tub area includes large-format tile, a sliding glass enclosure, and streamlined black fixtures that visually tie the space together. A dark slab backsplash enhances contrast while simplifying maintenance.
Designed using eco-friendly, low-emission ready-to-assemble (RTA) cabinetry, this project supports healthier indoor air quality without compromising performance or aesthetics. The cabinetry meets strict environmental standards and is GREENGUARD Gold certified, making it suitable for homes, schools, and everyday living environments.
This bathroom demonstrates how sustainable cabinet solutions can deliver both modern design and long-term functionality.

The balance of form and function is the hallmark of modern design. This staircase is a perfect example of that elegant simplicity. The dark-stained treads, newels, and smooth wood handrail create a rich foundation, while the parallel horizontal stainless steel rods add a sleek touch. With a beautiful overlook from the second floor, the staircase serves as a stunning focal point for the home. However, it's the interplay between the dark wood and gleaming steel elements that truly sets this project apart, demonstrating how material contrast can elevate a straightforward design into something memorable.

The tiles pictured are Chinese Slate which were laid in the Kitchen of a house in Chepstow around nine years ago. The town of Chepstow is located on the Welsh side of the River Seven and has the River Wye running through it.
The floor had not been professionally cleaned and sealed since installation. During this time the old sealer had mostly worn off allowing dirt to get into the pores of the stone leaving it looking dull, uninviting and dirty. The grout lines had also collected dirt and many of the lines had darkened.
I discussed with the client the process to get the floor cleaned and restored and demonstrated the effectiveness of the process on a small test area. They were impressed and were happy to go ahead with my quote, so we scheduled in the work which would take two days.
To get the floor clean and remove what was left of the old sealer I first made the floor wet and then added a strong dilution of Tile Doctor Pro-Clean mixed with Tile Doctor Remove and Go to give it extra power. This cleaning cocktail was left to soak into the tiles for ten minutes before being scrubbed in with a black scrubbing pad fitted to a rotary machine and by hand where necessary. This combination works well on really dirty floors such as this.
The scrubbing action released the years of dirt from the pores of the Slate and it wasn’t long before the cleaning solution turned black. This was then extracted off the floor using a wet vacuum. We then gave the floor a thorough inspection. There were one or two areas that were particularly stubborn, so these areas were retreated using the same process and the grout scrubbed by hand using more Tile Doctor Pro Clean.
The floor was then given another rinse with water and then dried as much as possible with the wet vacuum. This got the floor dry, but it would need to be completely dry before sealing so it was then left to dry off fully overnight.
I came back the next day to seal the floor first checking the moisture level of the stone by taking readings with a damp meter to ensure it was dry. I chose to use Tile Doctor Colour Grow for the sealer as the colour enhancing formula would be the best product to bring out the natural colours in the Chinese slate. Colour Grow is an impregnating sealer which will provides durable protection as well as allowing the surface to breath. Three coats were applied, allowing each to dry before applying the next one.
The client was so happy, so much that she said it looked better than when first laid!
I discussed aftercare with her and recommended the use of Tile Doctor Neutral Tile Cleaner, it’s pH balanced so it won’t prematurely erode the sealer which can be the problem with stronger products you find in supermarkets. It comes in concentrated form so one bottle lasts a long time.

We had the honor of recently completing this TLA Designed pergola for a wonderful client in Wolflin. This pergola featured contoured steel headers on a continuous radius. All steel members were shipped to Dallas for hot dipped galvanization. The rafters consisted of Trex timbers with integrated ceiling fans and brushed nickel lights. Stainless steel fasteners throughout. Completely custom - not another one quite like it in the Texas Panhandle.
This particular project demonstrates the wide array of options clients have when customizing their outdoor living space.
A special thanks to Cleve Turner for another incredible deign. Cleve is the owner of TLA, the Go To Professional Landscape Architect firm in Amarillo. If you have a project in mind or seeking a unique design, please give us a call. We would love to turn your ideas into a reality. 806 690 2344

This project was one that we loved doing! Our client was a single Dad with a teen daughter who needed a space where she could read, study and entertain her friends other than in her bedroom. Our solution was to design a hip, somewhat retro-inspired room that had formerly been an unused sunroom. She loved the calm, blue color palette and felt that she now had a space that was "all hers."

Craftsman staircases were considered "vertical rooms", and as such demonstrate the same attention to detail as more formal rooms.

The completely reimagined floorplan included relocating the kitchen and Master Suite to the opposite side of the home to take better advantage of the views and natural light. All bathrooms and the laundry room were completely remodeled along with installing new doors, windows, and flooring throughout the home and completely upgrading all electrical and plumbing.
The end result is simply stunning. Light, bright, and modern, the new version of this home demonstrates the power of thoughtful architectural planning, creative problem solving, and expert design details.

Travertine floor tiles are very appealing and very hardwearing, but without the protection of a sealer to stop dirt becoming ingrained in the pores of the stone their appearance will degrade. Fortunately, this can be remedied as demonstrated in these pictures of a Travertine floor I recently polished at a house in Weston Favell, Northampton.
This owner of the property had called me out as their kitchen floor was looking very sorry for itself and he was concerned that a lot of holes were appearing which was making cleaning the floor difficult as dirt was getting trapped in the holes. I went over and carried out a test clean on two separate tiles in the kitchen and the customer was amazed at how clean they came up and especially the grout.
The kitchen was stunning, but unfortunately the state of the Travertine tiled floor was bringing down its overall appearance. Impressed with the test clean they were keen to get the whole floor renovated so we agreed a price and I scheduled the work in for the following month.
I returned on the agreed data and made a start by protecting the kitchen units by removing the plinths and covering base units and the appliances with a protective film. We then commenced the cleaning process to remove surface dirt by cleaning with Tile Doctor Pro-Clean paying special attention to the grout lines. The holes in the Travertine were filled with a stone resin, mixing it to closely match the colours of the stone.
The resin was allowed to dry before starting to re-polish the Travertine using a set of Tile Doctor Diamond encrusted burnishing pads. These pads are applied individually to each tile in sequence starting with a coarse 400-grit pad before moving onto the 800-grit and finishing with the fine 1500 grit pad. A little water is used to lubricate the process along the way and the floor is rinsed in between each pad with the resulting residue extracted from the floor using a wet vacuum. The process takes some time, but it really brings up the polished appearance of the stone and the results are well worth the effort. After a final rinse the floor was inspected and then left to dry off fully overnight.
When we returned the next day, the floor had dried, and we were able to give the floor a final polish with a very fine 3000-grit burnishing pad applied with a little water sprayed onto the tile. Finally, the floor was then sealed with two coats of Tile Doctor Ultra-Seal which provides excellent protection without changing the colour of the stone to provide a natural look.
The client was over the moon with the outcome and surprised at the improvement. They were left with a floor that would be easy to clean and maintain.

Supported by double black-painted steel stringers, this dramatic three-level stair rises at the center of this Virginia home. Thick oak treads pair with vertical metal balusters, balancing organic warmth with precision engineering. An open-riser design enhances the contemporary feel as light moves freely through the stairwell. The interplay of industrial black steel and warm oak reflects the home’s open-concept architecture and modern interior finishes. The result is a stair that serves as both functional connection and sculptural element, demonstrating how structural honesty can achieve a refined sense of beauty.

A stunning modern interpretation of a Craftsman-style luxury home nestled in the Western North Carolina mountains, featuring natural materials, clean architectural lines, and sustainable design elements that harmoniously blend with the surrounding landscape. The exterior showcases traditional Craftsman characteristics with contemporary refinements, demonstrating masterful attention to detail in its construction and finish.

This perspective emphasizes the kitchen's textural variety and functional layout. A deep white apron-front farmhouse sink serves as a bright focal point against the navy shaker cabinetry, complemented by a high-arc matte black faucet. Above the butcher block perimeter countertop, natural wood floating shelves provide open storage that mirrors the warmth of the wood surfaces. The integration of the stainless steel dishwasher and the transition to the kitchen island demonstrates a layout optimized for high-efficiency cleaning and food preparation in a modern farmhouse setting.
