This MandiCasa project exemplifies the art of making the most of petite kitchens, showing it is possible to fulfill the user’s every wish in both style and function, regardless of square footage. For their apartment on New York’s Upper East Side, our client wanted their kitchen re-design to include a high-counter island that would open to the living room, providing a convenient area for preparing and enjoying meals. Aesthetically, they desired a more urban yet warm feel that would enhance the interior of their home. The workspace in Wolfgang and Breaker's room is divided by shelving that can be accessed from either side, creating a personal space for each and his studies. With Breaker as the musician of the family, Robert and Cortney have given him the creative tools that he needs right at his finger tips. "Well, our kids are all very creative", Cortney explains, "and we are glad we were able to design spaces that opened up the possibility for them to be exactly who they are." This sensational Arcadia ranch was completely reimagined for the new homeowners needs and desires. Our design parameters were to create balance, drama, and playfulness with some strategically placed container gardens and landscape amendments peppered throughout. The use of unique and hardy specimen cacti and succulent in combination with blooming perennials and lavenders were forefront in designing the unique statements. Green, dramatic contrast, coupled with softness and balance were used to design this clean, sophisticated look in Arcadia.

Inspiration for a timeless living room remodel in Las Vegas

This homeowner desired the family room (adjacent to the kitchen) to be the casual space to kick back and relax in, while still embellished enough to look stylish. By selecting mixed textures of leather, linen, distressed woods, and metals, USI was able to create this rustic, yet, inviting space. Flanking the fireplace with floating shelves and modified built ins, adding a ceiling beams, and a new mantle really transformed this once traditional space to something much more casual and tuscan.
