This living room was staged using the home owners existing furnishings. We added floor lamps to create more light (as there is no overhead lighting). We helped reduce personal items so that buyers would not be distracted.

The entry-level kitchenette echoes the primary kitchen featuring our WAY cabinet style, while introducing the textured Oslo Oak matrix finish. The subtle grain creates an interesting texture without adding weight or distraction from the large French doors that open into a private garden. The open-concept design, which includes an efficient dry bar, provides plenty of room for entertaining.

The phrase “Less is More” holds very true for this small master bathroom. With its neutral color scheme, clean lines, and linear fixtures, this bathroom is nothing short of excellent in its portrayal of modern. There is not much to distract the eye on this crisp design.

This bluestone entry was featured in spring of 2016 in Outdoor Living Magazine. An avalanche of seasonal color in containers complements the bluestone and limestone at the entry.

A transformation of a modest raised ranch into a modern oasis. I was the interior designer and general contractor from mechanicals to finishing. It’s also my personal home.
The interior design style is that of modern minimalist meets organic modern. I wanted a space that reduced distractions and let the eyes, head, and soul rest. Where everything inside the home has a specific use and purpose. The objects in our home are fewer but each hold a great personal value. You might expect to see this airy aesthetic, with its gallery white walls, in California or New York. Not nestled in a modest 50 year old neighborhood in Omaha, Nebraska. Creating a minimal aesthetic is one of the trickiest design styles to pull off. It is more than just less stuff and lots of white. It means sticking to these design principals:
-weaving in an abundance of textures
-incorporating natural finishes
-keenly curating art
-giving extra attention to scale
-limiting purely decorative items
-maximizing natural light
This style is not to be confused with the frugality of reductive design. I have incorporated many elevated basics that create an aesthetic of quiet luxury:
-architectural bead for trim-less doors
-first-of-its kind interior door hardware made of terrazzo
-historical marble found in landmark interiors like the NY Public Library
-premium flush air vents that disappear out of site
-luxury appliances from GE Café and Signature
-elegant and resilient terrazzo field tiles
Ours was not a simple interior remodel and addition:
-gutted and remodeled the existing 2,000 SF
-added on approximately another 1,000 SF
-moved and installed all new major mechanicals i.e. heating, plumbing and electrical.
-knocked through foundation walls to extend the space back
-dug down and built up

This transom pattern is simple but creates a very inviting entryway. With no muntins to distract from the view, the focus is on the room beyond. Model TR-8 from transomsdirect.com. See it here: http://goo.gl/VoZhlk.

The PURE Soapbox home office encourages deep focus. Layers of airy neutrals on the soft furnishings, white walls, vaulted ceiling, sheer white drapery, and ceramic wall lights, creates a calm, distraction-free workplace. A custom walnut floating desk spans the full length of the window, providing an uninterrupted desk surface that is flooded with natural light. Sheer drapey gracefully falls behind the desk, softening the dark wood tones.

The spectacular Murano Glass sculpture in this room deserved a setting that would showcase it, so I went with a stained wood frame, backlit to throw light on the metallic champagne wallpaper, and another, smaller stained wood frame within a mirrored box. The neutrality of the focal wall was deliberate so that nothing would distract the eye from the art.

Pottery Barn stools were added for comfort and to blend in with the island to not distract from the beauty of the counter top and the gorgeous pendants. Fabulous blend!

Modern meets bold in this everyday dining table. Round table top is constructed of glass for a contemporary feel. Chrome legs crisscross in a stylish pattern that imparts both style and durability. Consider chairs with lustrous chrome styling (available separately) to complete this set. Table looks great in dining space with sleek furnishings and modern decor.

Shown: Kährs Lumen Dim wood flooring
Kährs have launched two new ultra-matt wood flooring collections, Lux and Lumen. Recently winning Gold for 'Best Flooring' at the 2017 House Beautiful Awards, Kährs' Lux collection includes nine one-strip plank format designs in an array of natural colours, which are mirrored in Lumen's three-strip designs.
The new surface treatment applied to the designs is non reflective; enhancing the colour and beauty of real wood, whilst giving a silky, yet strong shield against wear and tear.
Emanuel Lidberg, Head of Design at Kährs Group, says,
“Lux and Lumen have been developed for design-led interiors, with abundant natural light, for example with floor-to-ceiling glazing. Traditional lacquer finishes reflect light which distracts from the floor’s appearance. Our new, ultra-matt finish minimizes reflections so that the wood’s natural grain and tone can be appreciated to the full."
The contemporary Lux Collection features nine floors spanning from the milky white "Ash Air" to the earthy, deep-smoked "Oak Terra". Kährs' Lumen Collection offers mirrored three strip and two-strip designs to complement Lux, or offer an alternative interior look. All designs feature a brushed effect, accentuating the natural grain of the wood. All floors feature Kährs' multi-layered construction, with a surface layer of oak or ash.
This engineered format is eco-friendly, whilst also making the floors more stable, and ideal for use with underfloor heating systems. Matching accessories, including mouldings, skirting and handmade stairnosing are also available for the new designs.

Casual den adjacent to the kitchen features hand hewn alder wood beams on the ceiling and a hand-carved limestone fireplace mantel.

The WATER element was added with the swirling pattern of the stone panel placed over the desk. Four recessed light fixtures installed within the built-in desk area not only to highlight the stone pattern with a graze of light, but to functionally illuminate the work area.

A modern, contemporary take on the popular farmhouse style, this open-concept kitchen, with separate pantry is a refreshing, bright space to raise a family. Materials selected with kids sticky fingers in mind!
The well designed space boasts gold accents, stunning glass pendant lights to keep the kitchen vibe open and bright, and to not distract from the reclaimed barn beam used as a decorative element on the hood vent. The architectural embossed subway tile brings plenty of texture to a monochromatic space.
A timeless design that can easily move through years of fashion trends without becoming dated.

This modern credenza would make the perfect storage cabinet in nearly any environment. It is handcrafted by us here in the USA utilizing only the highest quality materials and it’s made to last a lifetime. While its gold tapered spindle legs give it a mid century modern, timeless feel, the raised geometric pattern of the doors add a touch of modernism. It is a very versatile piece and would be well-suited as a modern TV stand/console, credenza, buffet, or stylish sideboard.
Behind each door you’ll find an adjustable inner shelf for maximum flexibility. Push-to-open doors eliminate the need for handles or knobs on the front so as to not distract from the stylish, modern look of the doors.
In addition to making these in many different widths and heights, we can also build yours in nearly any configuration. Want a more “open”, “airy” look? We can make yours with an open middle section (meaning doors only on the outsides). Or, need drawers? We can do that as well!
It is shown here in rich brown walnut, but yours can be made in any of the woods shown on our wood options page.
Other door colors are available as well. It looks particularly nice with white or our vintage-orange doors.
Looking for a less mid century look? Go with our platform base instead of the spindle legs.
For many years of trouble-free use, we use only top-of-the-line hardware (hinges, push to open mechanisms) from Blum and Salice. Only the highest quality furniture-grade veneers are used as well. Like any natural material, expect some slight variations in grain and coloration.
Using this to store electronic devices that need power? Let us know and we’re happy to add holes in the back for cables to exit for no additional charge.
Need a different width? Yours can be made with any number of doors.
Dimensions: approximately 82.75" wide x 19" deep x 29" high . (The dimensions are the exterior dimensions of the cabinet. The patterns on the doors will extend slightly past the cabinet)
Model: Pi (shown here in walnut with gold doors and spindle legs).
Please inquire for information and pricing on any changes you would like.
We also create many other custom pieces in this and other styles, so, please contact us if you are looking for conference tables, credenzas, industrial office shelving, or any other furniture. We would love to discuss how we can work together to design a unique piece to fit your needs!

There are impressive features to be discovered from every angle of this yard. The lights inset into the steps to the elevated terrace are just enough for safety but not too bright to create a distraction from the natural beauty of this yard.
