One night just before Christmas, the driver of a car going 80 miles per hour, jumped the curb, destroyed a chainlink fence, shrubs, and slammed into a pair of cement paver planter beds. The pavers were launched with so much force that two vintage double-hung windows were destroyed along with two glass block basement windows. Still moving, the car rolled on its side and crashed into the North side of the Sunroom. All ten windows were replaced along with the glass block units, water-damaged framing under the stucco was rebuilt, and the landscape was restored.

We used a beautiful piece of original art as the driver for the color scheme and vibe for this living area project. We made mauve, blue, and red selections to complement the focal artwork which made the vibe cool, colorful and cozy. The artwork is beautifully highlighted with a navy blue picture light above the piano.

“I boxed it to the ceiling, added base trim to the bottom, and added a gorgeous lighting detail, all to complement the beautiful glossy cabinets. The cabinets needed to be as deep as possible so I used 24-inch-deep sizing on the tall cabinets as well as on the stacked cabinets above. But I only wanted a 16-inch-deep cabinet above the workbench, and I had 24-inch-deep stacked cabinet above that. Instead of a set-back, this became an opportunity: I added an amazing lighting detail using 4 puck lights to highlight this unique feature. It was something you’d wouldn’t typically do in a garage. They loved it because there is nothing typical about this remodel. I also used a specialty pantry cabinet with roll-outs, added tons of drawers in the workbench, and built-out every inch of space on the two walls. The third wall I left open allowing access for the driver to get out of the car. There, we made use of the space by adding Omni track around the multiple utility obstacles on the wall. The result? The client now has an extremely functional and extraordinarily beautiful garage.”

Colorado Log House Kitchen
This kitchen was done in a log house in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. To lower the cost, the client decide to work with a local contractor to help with measurements and installation. We drove it out to them in a rental truck and then my driver turned in the truck and flew back. It saved them several $1000.
The kitchen was Designed in a " Collected Style'' With different woods and paint colors and we even did a couple of the pieces in an Adirondack style with twig trim and deer horn hardware. The sink was soapstone and the counter tops were curly maple.
