This spacious kitchen in Westchester County is flooded with light from huge windows on 3 sides of the kitchen plus two skylights in the vaulted ceiling. The dated kitchen was gutted and reconfigured to accommodate this large kitchen with crisp white cabinets and walls. Ship lap paneling on both walls and ceiling lends a casual-modern charm while stainless steel toe kicks, walnut accents and Pietra Cardosa limestone bring both cool and warm tones to this clean aesthetic. We removed the long wall of mirrors and moved the tub into the empty space at the left end of the vanity. We replaced the carpet with a beautiful and durable Luxury Vinyl Plank. We simply refaced the double vanity with a shaker style.

This Piedmont family decided to transform their basement by replacing the existing drop ceiling with a sleek sheetrock ceiling. The project involved installing less utilitarian lighting and HVAC vents as well as revamping the small kitchen area. The black and white hexagon backsplash makes a dramatic statement. The sleek faucet, new hardware and paint complete the look. The end result is a cozy and inviting family room.
