An Eichler architectural style of a house that went through an entire house remodeling, where the kitchen area was designed to be open to the family room and living room areas. Therefore, it was important to design the kitchen to blend well with the other adjacent areas and give it a Furniture Look style so it is not necessary look like an ordinary kitchen. To make this transition between the areas, the kitchen design layout has the emphasis on detached areas within the kitchen area, so those elements stand alone and give the furniture look style to the entire kitchen area. The use of the door styles selected for the kitchen area helped to blend easily with the contemporary style of the house. Door style Finish: Alno Art pro, high gloss tempered glass door style, in the high gloss champagne color finish combined with the Alno Art Wood Glass, high gloss tempered glass door style, in the high gloss walnut color finish.

We opened up the space plan and integrated the kitchen and the living room so that the client could more easily entertain friends and family. This "Dream" room was designed for a young girl, which she can easily grow into with a few simple changes in bedding and accents. Cole & Son's Woods and Stars was selected as a feature wall in a pretty pale blue, a nod to the surrounding woods and adding an ethereal touch. The ceiling was painted to match the walls, for a fully enveloped feeling. Rainbows and Unicorns abound in this fantasy forest. A secret playroom hides behind the spare closet's doors, with a dreamy sky overhead, complete with a fluffy cloud pendant. The loveseat pulls out into a twin bed for sleep overs.

A modern, contemporary take on the popular farmhouse style, this open-concept kitchen, with separate pantry is a refreshing, bright space to raise a family. Materials selected with kids sticky fingers in mind! The well designed space boasts gold accents, stunning glass pendant lights to keep the kitchen vibe open and bright, and to not distract from the reclaimed barn beam used as a decorative element on the hood vent. The architectural embossed subway tile brings plenty of texture to a monochromatic space. A timeless design that can easily move through years of fashion trends without becoming dated.

This remodeling story is a wonderful example of how removing and shifting walls can have an amazing impact on the functionality and visual appeal of an entire level of a home. When our clients reached out to us, they were looking to create an open concept Kitchen that would allow for easy entertaining. The couple had recently purchased this townhome so his mother could be closer to the family. The existing floorplan offered first floor living, but the Kitchen was tucked in the back and was separated from the rest of the living space by a full wall with a small pass through into the Dining Room. Our design involved removing the dividing wall between the Dining Room and Kitchen as well as the fake columns and beam that separated the Dining Room and Living Room. The entire space was opened up to allow for easy flow and view throughout the first floor living space. The wall shared by the Kitchen and large Master Bedroom was shifted back just enough to provide a full wall of additional cabinetry including a much-needed large double Pantry cabinet. Now that we had opened up the Kitchen area we could focus on the cabinetry layout and selections. The existing wood toned cabinets were replaced with white cabinets and crown molding to match the rest of the home. The larger, open space allowed for more cabinetry and the addition of an island with new undermount sink, dishwasher and convenient trash pullout along with seating for the grandchildren. A new range hood was installed and vented to the exterior of the house to replace the old recirculating hood. We were able to repurpose the some of the existing cabinets for use above the washer and dryer in the adjoining Laundry Room and swapped out the existing swinging door for a pocket door to free up traffic flow when doing Laundry and working in the Kitchen. The slate-look ceramic tile was replaced with a pre-engineered hardwood floor that creates a sense of warmth while easy to clean. The new Cambria countertop compliments the slate-look tile found in the Dining Room and Living Room and a natural field tile backsplash offsets the cabinets beautifully. The single fluorescent ceiling light was outdated and did not provide adequate lighting for the new Kitchen. The new lighting plan was carefully thought out to provide general illumination through well placed recessed lighting; task lighting through pendant lighting over the island and under cabinet lighting; and aesthetic fluidity with an eye-catching chandelier for the Dining Room table. Special details include a touch faucet, under counter microwave and glass front cabinetry for displaying dishes. By removing and shifting walls, we improved the entire flow of the first floor visually as well as functionally and created a beautiful, light-filled space for cooking and entertaining. Grandma can easily prepare meals in her new Kitchen and still chat with her guests and grandchildren who love to sit at the island as well as in the adjoining Dining Room and Living Room. This pretty in pink bathroom was inspired by the artwork. From there the gorgeous shade of pink paint (Resounding Rose) was selected. Fresh and fun accessories were added and the result is a super pretty, Spring inspired bathroom make over. This small space was just perfect for this bold shade of pink. It went from a "bathroom" to a conversation and a "Wow!". A space can easily be transformed by a simple can of pant and fantastic decor.

Nestled in the pristine beauty of the north woods of Wisconsin is the natural landscape of majestic trees, clear spring fed lakes, fascinating wildlife and exhilarating outdoor recreational activities. It is inviting to many families, friends and couples throughout the year The lakes in particular provide for an enormous amount of fun and relaxation. For those so fortunate to have a property it is customary to have a boathouse to store your swimming or boating gear and equipment. Recently Parrett was selected to provide windows and doors for a new boathouse and replacement windows and doors for an existing home. The boathouse windows consisted of folding windows and doors allowing for opening the windows the complete 10 foot expanse. These same doors were backed by a full length horizontal pulled screen. The folding window system was set on the second level loft designed as an elevated viewing area of the lake. Mulled directly to the top of the folding window was a Napoleon shaped direct set. On the opposite side of the second level was a window system matching the shape of the lakeside window system. The upper mulled window was a duplicate of the window on the lake side however the window below consisted of four awning windows. Due to the awnings being elevated from the lower floor and not easily accessible the windows were set up with individual electronic motors for operation which can be operated by either a switch or a remote control. The system allows for operating all of the windows at once or individually. The windows were made out of solid mahogany to the interior and a high performance woodgrain aluminum clad to the exterior. The lower boathouse door is a four panel solid mahogany plank style folding door system with a horizontal pull screen. Greeting anyone entering the boathouse is a custom designed entry door which has a carved pattern to the exterior emulating an owl. The owl door was made out of solid white oak and bordered with a 10 inch wide flat casing with a 12 inch keystone and plinth blocks located on top. Parrett was proud to be part of this fun, picturesque and very functional project.

The goal was to create a stylish sanctuary in your own backyard! This reasoning spurred the inspiration for the backyard restyle at Project GC, which saw Ariel and Robert furnishing and styling their outdoor space on a budget so they could take advantage of the weather and spend more time outside while renovating the inside of their home. Our goal was to design with the great outdoors in mind by selecting furnishings that could withstand the weather and could remain outside throughout the seasons. We wanted to be budget conscious and therefor choose everything from Target. We intentionally chose furniture that was Target to meet our budget constraints but we also wanted to show that if you can only shop from one store, you can mix and match what they have to offer to create a one of a kind space. The natural whicker table and chairs are durable, lightweight and create a relaxed tropical vibe. The table is anchored to a black and white rug while providing a touch of modernism. Tropical plants were layered into the space in a variety of pots of different scales and textures. Colored was infused into the space with throw pillows and blankets that can easily be changed out to match the season. Finally, we created mood lighting with strung lights and lanterns of different scales that could remain outside. Voila – an outdoor space we could relax in!
